That's what I do.
If I see someone being toxic, I'll not say anything and just report.
Tried that, apparently didn't worked... O.o
They also won't let you skip the end of match cutscenes.
It's a completely asinine lack of social QoL, and match chat is getting bad enough that at this point I'd rather hold my nose and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play OW then log into Rivals again.
That's wild. I wonder why they might have done that...
That would be Team chat, which is fine. Match chat is where the two sides can talk to each other, and is just a useless trash-fiesta. Match chat needs an option to be turned off.
I think people are being a little hyperbolic and overly reactionary...
Nah, I turn off VC and team/match chats in all multiplayer games nowadays. I do have neither patience nor energy to deal with the constant toxicity. From my experience, randoms are rarely able to act civil and provide any useful information.
Like I said, 125 matches, 2 sentences.
I have data, you do not.
I turned off chats right after "gg ez" in a stomp game. Probably, about 10 matches in.
Played with them and actively communicated for ~ 10 years in games like CS:GO, OW, and Apex Legends — more than enough experience to have a good understanding of how people usually act online. Now I have no desire to talk to a bunch of immature, negative strangers.
