MVP system? What is the criteria?
So was just in a match where I think the MVP system just didn't make sense. Here are the stats and you tell me why the player Storm wasn't the MVP:

Storm: 19 kills / 6 deaths / 16 assists / 11 final hits / 6080 Damage / 3245 Damage Blocked / 0 healing / 29% accuracy (4 medals)

MVP:
Jeff: 13 kills / 5 deaths / 7 assists / 5 final hits / 4613 damage / 3395 damaged blocked / 3731 healing / 47% accuracy.

It would be nice to know what the weight of each of the items carried when determining the MVP. Just my opinion but I would of thought Storm would of got it.

It seems really biased towards jeff for whatever reason. had multiple games where other players had bigger numbers but jeff still takes it.

looks like Jeff put in some work across all stats Damage + blocked damage + healing and accuracy . just IMO
seen a lot of close stats like these, and i'm pretty sure it's mainly because one had healing points and another didn't, or had less.

It's not even about the stats at the end. It's about who had the greatest play of the game.

I've tried to get MVP as Magneto even once for multiple days, it's impossible. I will always lose it to the Jeff or another healer every single time even if I stay Ace for 90% of the game with most kills, least deaths, most assists outside of the healers and damaged blocked. Extremely frustrating.

On a related note.............the hell does SVP even mean? Still haven't figured that one out.

Secondmost Valuable Player.

From my experience it weights very heavily towards accolades. Jeff is very prone to getting an instant 3/4 people multikill, which the MVP counter considers extremely good (because the hero is turbo broken and all).

From my experience it is heavily skewed towards DPS, as DPS always has 1 free accolade in the form of killstreaks and multikills which is hard to obtain for other classes.

If you arent Jeff, Groot, or Cloak/Dagger you have to move mountains to get MVP

got MVP this morning with Squirrel Girl. Had 31 kills, 5 deaths, 15 kill streak, 10 assists, 0 healing, most kills badge, and most damage badge. so yeah ... you kind of do need to move mountains. i think the healing criteria is a huge percentage of it, so if you're not a healer, then you have to overcompensate with everything else.

SVP Does what Overwatch is too stupid to do. If you are the top performer on the losing team, you don't lose rank. it's Second Valuable Player,

I just had a match with the most kills assists and most healing and I lost mvp to a Jeff. I dont really care but like what do I need to be doing for mvp because that made no sense to me.

When in doubt, system gives Jeff MVP.

Shark Supremacy.

In general, Final Hits count the most for MVP, but healing and tanking damage counts a lot, too. I think the system is close to Overwatch though where the one with the most "Heat" in a small frame of time gets POTG, which is why Jeff tends to get MVP because his Ult tends to kill a lot of people instantly.

That said I have been Jeff MVP in matches where I didn't land my ult and I didn't get more Final Hits than some other DPS, so really all I can say is Shark Supremacy.

It's not that hard to figure out guys, highest kill/assist streak + less deaths = MVP.
A kda of 12-1-3 counts as superior to a 20-5-0 for the MVP stat, unless those 5 deaths were at start with few kills & manage landing afterward a 17~20 bomb kill streak.
