Time Limited Specific Rank Exclusive Rewards Is Disgusting

So they're going to be giving an exclusive skin every season if you reach a specific rank, this season it's Gold+
The skin is a black and gold costume for Moon Knight.

Honestly I find this disgusting. Locking an exclusive reward away only for people that are able to grind out ranked and get that high within the time limit.
In a game with a godawful matchmaker and it being up to complete chance whether you get competent people on your team, or people who play like they are brand new to games in general.

I've been stuck in Bronze 3, the starting rank, for a long time now because I keep getting people on my team that have zero clue what they're doing. I will lose 7 in a row, win 1, lose 3 in a row, win 1, lose 4 in a row...

I find this completely unfair, and as much as people hate it being brought up, I think what Overwatch does is way more fair.
Playing ranked gets you ranked currency, which after getting enough you can spend on ranked specific cosmetics. Sure they're just stupid gold and jade guns, but that system is way more fair and doesn't demand that the user be very skilled and be willing to grind through horrific matches in the hope that they are lucky and skilled enough to rise in rank high enough to get the reward.

I for one will literally never get anywhere near Gold this season no matter how hard I try, what I do, how much effort I put in or how much I grind. It's not fair at all.

Considering that they're giving it for getting up to a specific rank, I assume that rank will reset each season, requiring you to grind back up to that rank AGAIN every single season to get the reward.

This should be changed. Not just for me but for everyone. It's a bad and unfair system.

you know you can be paired with a team full of bronze, be bronze 3 yourself and be paired a grandmaster 2 with no equivalent in your team, right?

aaaaannndd why is that? It's a new game and everyone is still finding their rank lol. Sure I would have rather had 5 or 10 games to determine your rank instead of everyone being placed bronze 3, but only this season is the ranked grind going to start bad. It will be soft resets for all the next seasons I would hope.

It's a reward for those good enough to make it and have it to show off. I'm glad not everything is about "participation prize" and there are things of value one needs to actually work for.

Those were just sprays which almost nobody cares about. This is a skin which you wear and can see at all times.

The problem isn't that you need to work for it. That's fine. I'm totally 100% for having to work for it as a reward. The issue is that the reward is literally impossible to get for a large number of people no matter how hard they work for it. So you have to look at this cool thing and think "man... I'll never get to have that".

The matchmaker is far too awful for this to be a thing.

It take around 3-5 hours max to get it ... maybe you're just bad and it's a reward for people who decided to learn the game and not screw others. Stay on QP, learn how to play TANK/DPS/HEAL (at least one hero of each) and then, go in comp. Like that you won't drag your team down and you'll have more fun playing comp and the game.

It's worth mentioning if it hasn't been already, but they are adding an additional tier in the ranked system next season, effectively making gold the new silver. If you can't climb out of the first couple metal ranks within several months, there's really nothing else to be said.

Only good if everything is free and you get them right from the start.

Unfortunately this will never be how a free to play will ever work. They'd never make any money if they actually did this. People need to start being realistic...

They'd just stop doing free to play, charge 70+ dollars for the game and the amount of content would be limited. Then they'd find something else to complain about.
