Time Limited Specific Rank Exclusive Rewards Is Disgusting

So they're going to be giving an exclusive skin every season if you reach a specific rank, this season it's Gold+
The skin is a black and gold costume for Moon Knight.

Honestly I find this disgusting. Locking an exclusive reward away only for people that are able to grind out ranked and get that high within the time limit.
In a game with a godawful matchmaker and it being up to complete chance whether you get competent people on your team, or people who play like they are brand new to games in general.

I've been stuck in Bronze 3, the starting rank, for a long time now because I keep getting people on my team that have zero clue what they're doing. I will lose 7 in a row, win 1, lose 3 in a row, win 1, lose 4 in a row...

I find this completely unfair, and as much as people hate it being brought up, I think what Overwatch does is way more fair.
Playing ranked gets you ranked currency, which after getting enough you can spend on ranked specific cosmetics. Sure they're just stupid gold and jade guns, but that system is way more fair and doesn't demand that the user be very skilled and be willing to grind through horrific matches in the hope that they are lucky and skilled enough to rise in rank high enough to get the reward.

I for one will literally never get anywhere near Gold this season no matter how hard I try, what I do, how much effort I put in or how much I grind. It's not fair at all.

Considering that they're giving it for getting up to a specific rank, I assume that rank will reset each season, requiring you to grind back up to that rank AGAIN every single season to get the reward.

This should be changed. Not just for me but for everyone. It's a bad and unfair system.

Rank rewards like this been for awhile, Overwatch had golden guns and League had character skins that would "upgrade" depending on far you reached, a color swap for a single character isn't the end of the world

Overwatch's golden guns are not time limited and don't require you to reach a specific rank. They just require you to play. You don't have to grind it out over the span of a week in hopes you can get it in time, you just earn the currency while you play and then can buy whichever one you want later.

This is common practice for any competitive game with a ranked mode because why bother with ranked if you don't get anything out of it besides a shiny badge on your profile?

You just don't have a right perspective. Think about it = if there is a cesspool of inept posters who are trigger-happy to roast someone they don't know, it has a "crowd bully" effect = i.e. others are compelled to join them roasting you thanks to the effect of the herd.

But you know what? That means that if you do get responses with "let's try and see if we can play together" in that sea of scum, chances are = you got a genuinely decent teammate who will treat you with dignity and respect. So that horde of trolls just helped you to seethe through and get a golden nugget. Now - it could happen that no such response appears, fair enough - but then give it another try and also on different mediums.

Yep, it's very hard to get out of Bronze it seems, I'm almost always somehow the best on DMG in my team (on Vanguard, no less which I have to play since I had only 1 game where other people picked 2 vanguards). My highest lose streak has been 7.

Games have ALWAYS had rewards I can never earn. This is life. Suck it up princess.
People who can and do earn them deserve them. If I dont want to put the effort in, I dont deserve them. There will be rewards everyone can get. Stop being an entitled whiner who thinks they deserve everything. People like you ruin things for everyone and make it a bland world.

Guess what? I have no friends that play this game. So my only option is solo q where NOBODY coordinates and nobody has any clue what to do and nobody cares.
