Banned from comp because of a crash

Loaded into game. Game started. Used an ability, game froze. Immediately ended program and relaunched game back to title within 45 seconds.

Notification that I disconnected and didn't rejoin, so i'm banned for 15 minutes. Wtf. You didn't even give me a chance to rejoin.

Same thing happend to me twice, it doesn't let me reconnect and bans me

I've had no problem reconnecting to Comp matches after a crash, because Comp matches do not replace the player with another player.
Quick Play I've had this issue, but not Competitive.

What's even more obnoxious is it gives me an all official lookin' automated notice in the msg centre. "Violation detected in your gameplay. You've been penalized with a temporary ban from Competitive matches."

I had the game relaunched in under a minute, and the instant I got to main menu I was slapped with a ban. I have to assume it's a system like Overwatch that cancels a match if someone DC's too soon, but the problem is that I get slapped with a ban penalty.

yeah, my game crashes like every 2-3 games. Best thing to do, instantly open up task manager(better on second screen), end the game in Task manager, go to steam library and close marvel there too. Then just open it up and youre back in like 1min with all that

As mentioned, I was back in under a minute, but it didn't matter. Instant ban.

Constant disconnects, can't play more than a few minutes at a time. Then you get punished because you don't reconnect. Fix this crap.

That's the issue with disconnect punishments, if their service fails the player gets punished for it.

But the inverse is the Blizzard approach and that leads to issues with toxicity. You don't want the Blizzard approach...that's how OW became such a genuinely toxic community.

Lost a full rank and got a 15 min ban because of this. If you crash in the beginning of the match, the game doesn't give you enough time to rejoin and just "cancels" the match even if you get on within a minute. Ridiculous this happens after trying to play comp for a long time and losing all that progress from a crash on their unoptimized game smh
