He'll likely just be an Iron man skin sadly.

They said something about not wanting to have echo characters (characters that are visually and mechanically similar).

In truth, Warmachine should have enough differences to be a completely unique character that would behave differently than Ironman.

Hilariously, Fortnite of all games somehow did this extremely well.

Same situation with Red Hulk.

Red Hulk uses explosive munitions, mini-guns, and other ordinances, while also being ungabunga melee. But the deves cited Red Hulk as an example of a potential "echo character" they wouldn't want to add because we already have regular Hulk.

So it seems characters have to differ mechanically and visually.

You misunderstand, they added Mythic weapons that give players the entire weapon set and abilities of Iron Man, and War Machine.

Nothing about Gambit but there is files for Deadpool in the game. But out of all the datamined characters he is the least complete, so it will take a long time for Deadpool to get in.
