I love that you see Wolverine, Frank Castle, Banner, and othrs but the one you make a post about? Peni Parker.
Very few characters have their comic or movie looks in this game, its made by a chinese company so you get chinese ripoffs
People are complaining about Peni here mainly (I think) because she looks aged up and her design is much more D.va/Evangelion. The simple truth is literally any remotely popular game with a decent aesthetic is going to become more R34 fodder than most people can possible hope to work through even if they buy thousands of bottles of baby oils and lotions. And, as a result, if Peni wasn't very clearly aged up, people would throw a hissy fit, just like plenty of people already are even though she very clearly IS aged up. We've seen this exact drama play out with this exact character before when Spiderverse first got popular. (Name: Peni Parker, Age: 18, Occupation: Girl) Even if the game itself wouldn't be banned or anything, they likely just decided it was less likely to be a PR nightmare to draw her looking older than giving news outlets an excuse to run a story about how people are lewding the spider loli. (that or maybe I'm attributing too much intention here and they just didn't care what the fictional age of a fictional character was and just made her vaguely attractive stylized after D.va)
Why people who are allegedly functioning human adults care so much about what entirely fictional drawings are in other people's "homework" folder is beyond me, but from a basic business perspective they probably decided the PR would be better to just draw her aged up. It'll inevitably still get called out eventually, but when it does they can just say "she's 18 in the game" and dodge most of the fallout. In that case they never commented on it until they were asked, her design very clearly IS aged up making late-teens feasible, and as a result they can neither be condemned for encouraging people to lewd the "technically legal!" spider loli nor adding a minor to their game knowing they would be lewded and trying to weasel out of it after the fact by just claiming she's older that she appears. She's just a legal adult in the game, that is it, and there isn't any way to spin it that reflects negatively on the game or studio itself. They never encouraged it by making a statement saying "she's totally 18 guys, go ahead", and they can't be accused of just claiming she's 18 when she's clearly designed younger either.
IIRC this exact thing happened with Paladins years ago. Maeve is young looking, short, and flat, and for a while people weren't sure whether she was supposed to be a kid or not. Inevitably she got lewded, then after enough people asked HiRez said "she's a young adult" and that basically killed the controversy. (it echoed around for a little while after that, but largely the entire controversy died then and there. Last I was involved the joke was more about her being flat when every other champion has big booba than her being a loli) She could pass for a young adult and the developers were neither hiding nor broadcasting her age. They simple answered when asked, "she's a young adult" and that was that.
By aging up peni so that she could pass for being a bit older the studio can wait until it becomes a problem, then one of the developers can say "no, she's an adult in the game" and they can dodge the majority of the PR fallout. It's almost certainly just a basic business decision. There was obviously some artistic choice involved as well, I don't mean to completely undermine her design or anything, (personally it looks fine to me) but I'm guessing it was motivated at least in part by business realities. Society is full of people with a complete and utter inability to separate what's real and what's fictional, and it's easier to just carefully avoid them than it's worth trying to fight them on it.
Obviously not if you look at many heroes in this game. the only ones they get right are wearing masks or full body suits, like spiderman and venom. its hard to get those wrong.
No suprises they didn't get the chinese guy wrong, or any of the boobs and butts on the women, those are 100% accurate
She's like a rejected character From A Woke evongalian remake
Based on their posts, they would rather have Penni de-sexualized, which is why many people are mocking them.
