Combine/transfer with EGS account

Started playing on EGS to get Fortnite bonus. Now I wanna play in Steam, but don't see any way to trasfer my nickname from there to here. Is there any?

Don't think you can, since the Steam version is directly tied to your Steam account. The Epic version probably uses Epic's services.

Right now there is no cross progression. Accounts are tied to platform.

According to steamdb it uses Epic Online Services so it won't matter if you play on steam or EGS.

Didn't see any sign of this in the game. And it just telling me to enter my nickname. When I do it, game says "nickname already taken (no ♥♥♥♥!), take another"

No cross saves/progression, just cross play. Steam and EGS are considered different platforms. Blame Epic Games for that.
