Im sort of ignorant in specs....I would assume an i7 is better than an i5...and i have directx 12...why am I receiving the directx 12 error?

I have the same error all looking forward a internal game problem, been looking for a solution for 2 hours, at this point im going to give up.
I saw someone saying they have been having this problem since beta launch.

I just read the part were you say your graphics card: Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics. You need a dedicated graphic card to play this game.

Update bios and update chipset drivers , also update video card drivers , Beware of windows update 24H2 , dont do it

Dangit, i have the same graphics card... looks like most likely the game will just not run for us on these cards under any circumstances :( which sucks, was looking forward to this game lol. if you have an xbox series x or a PS5 you can get the game on there. Best of luck sir.

Fortnite has a non directx 12 option in the game settings.

It might just not be compatible with integrated graphics, at least not older gen integrated graphics.

Because Iris Xe is both below minimum hardware requirements, so you need to pay more attention to those, and it also does not support 64bit atomics which is part of Shader model 6.6 / Feature Level 12_1 this game requires.
