it's really weird how Rivals is the only game that would not let me get into the game with my net connection while any other game i play works fine.
That's weird, mine requires a VPN to login, but then as soon as I'm at the main screen I can disconnect and then it runs fine off my connection from there.
The odd thing is I noticed both days this happened was at 6:00 am on the dot (Central US time). I'd wager something is happening on their servers at that time because it's precisely at 6:00. How it 'chooses" which accounts to affect I can't figure out.
Some say changing IP (via VPN) works. Or DNS. Or configuration settings reset. Or starting as admin. Or alt account. Etc. The fact that any one of these work for people makes it seem like there's a file with all that info associated and changing any one parameter will create a unique association and fix the problem.
However, some of us have tried all the solutions and it still doesn't work. So, I'm confounded.
It's something they're going to have to fix on their back end. The only thing I can guess is it's something to do with how many people are playing (more than expected) and the server clock ticking over to a specific hour every day meaning it can't accommodate as many people. But, then later in the day it can. 🤷♀️
