Crossplay Voice Chat

I have two friends who are on Playstation and they can talk to each other but I can't hear or speak to either of them. So far I've yet to turn up anything when looking for answers. Is this a problem on my end or something wrong with the game? I can confirm my audio settings and mic are setup correctly.

could be game sided cant you just use discord for now? xbox has it so i guess playstation maybe too

I am using discord currently but would of course prefer not to given the game supports voice chat. I just want to confirm whether its intentional (limitation?) or otherwise and get some clarification.

I run into the same issue using my series x, sadly because the folks I okay with want to be console only. But, as with you, they are PlayStation and I am Xbox. Pregame chat works great, once in a match it's like I'm muted. But when I'm not playing with them I can speak in game? Honestly thinking it's some word game bug at this point.
