That's a question with no answer at the moment, not even on their Discord server.
Been seeing quite the number of R9s across multiple games on UE5 so this could help these.
There are reports on proton github of people able to play on r9's with VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_0, so you could try vulkan on windows (with risk of triggering security).
LEGACY GCN 1/2/3 ARCHITECTURE - R9 390
Here is the forum at this link. There are instructions there. I didn't get it right the first time. I don't have any AMD software right now, but the main thing is that the game works. I tried running Cyberpunk 2077 on medium+ settings - everything works at 60 fps.
which option did you take on the driver?
I cant seem to get it working (got a r9 390 as well)
Maybe spend more time investigating what it is that you are buying so you can discover that Intel is a sinking ship past 5 years.
Iris Xe is 8 years behind on gaming tech.
GTX 1060 and RX580 fully support Shader Model 6.6 and some part of 6.7 while Iris Xe does not fully support SM 6.6 as evident by it not being able to run UE5's Nanite and Virtual Shadow Maps.
Spend some time researching the topic instead of blaming devs for no apparent reason.
There, it's mostly about Agility SDK but even these older cards can rune UE5.
don't think you can.. I tried the community drivers and yes, the game will launch but crash as soon the Anti-Cheat popup disappears.
were you actually able to run this on Windows on such hardware? - if so, how did you do it?
yeah.. people can run it on Linux but I really don't think anyone was able to run this on Windows using AMD GCN hardware.
