Is the anti-cheat invasive?
Can't really find much information online, is the anti-cheat invasive?
I don't feel comfortable having a program with kernel level access that monitors all activity on my system.
The game does work on Steam Deck under proton which does give me some hope.

nope
Also if I did want to cheat, don't you think I would have the resources to actually research the Anti-cheat instead of making a forum post about it? lol

doesn't require any additional action from the user, is only running alongside the game

about as big of a concern as any anticheat is

I don't know, it runs and does it's thing. I run visual studio and unity in the background and it didn't care.

Iirc it's something they made - Netease Anticheat or something.
No idea how invasive it is, but I'll wait until I have the answer.

I mean, if he had VAC or game bans on record your assumption would at least have a base, there are people that value system integrity above playing the newest live-service game, I passed on Helldivers 2 for that reason.

I mean, it shouldn't, but that seems like a rather low bar.

Yea.. that never sounds less sus the more people keep claiming stuff like that.. ;) In fact it sounds even more sus after a while because obviously you got something to worry about more than just gaming in a fair way but go on. I believe you. ;)

Every anti cheat is able to monitor all activity on your system, thats what anti cheat is. Take off ur foil cap and enjoy the game.

Also this gotta be rage-bait, ur most recent played game includes kernel level anti cheat, so I guess as long as its American company ur fine with that

if youre running a video game exe on your system the dev can already steal all your data and do whatever else they want, so the idea of some huge anticheat conspiracy doesnt scan at all

Most user-level Anti-cheats do that only while the game is running, not 24/7 since the system starts. I am simply asking about which category this game falls into. It seems to run on the Steam deck, so it's likely not that intrusive, but I can't be sure.

Its kernel level and stops working the moment you close your game, just like every other anti cheat

I'm also curious I heard about the whole Delta Force AC situation and as I clicked install I read a review stating the AC was spyware and immediately uninstalled. Also other people mentioning it made me paranoid I'm not sure as I've searched the internet and found no results other than subreddits discussing the same thing also doesn't Naraka Bladepoint use the same anticheat? Which asked users to turn off a Windows Security function? I downloaded Revo Uninstaller to see if there was anything left but didn't see anything. Very suspicious. If someone has more info i'd appreciate it.
