These "entry" level battlepasses are a new scam that live services are trying to make normal when it shouldnt be. However im not surprised no one seems to care as long as they get a $5 "discount" instead of just paying $10 for everything or just having a free pass like usual.

Honestly that's enough to make me play this game over a lot of other games.
This should be the standard battle pass across every game

Businesses do things to make money. If a business takes your money and gives you a product or service that that is normal. That is called reality. That isn't a scam. A business can make money without it being a scam. in fact, its what their goal is and its required if they want to stay in business and continue providing a service (AKA a live service video game)

But you lose your chronological tokens at the end of the pass

By making the entry parts affordable ($5 battle pass, a lot of free blue currency, etc) it allows them to piggy bank off the shop skin prices at roughly $20s a skin.
