Spider-man was made for a different game
Dies in two hits from most characters. His platforming is terrible, constantly getting stuck on door archways instead of going through them. Either that, or he falls off the map. Web-zip always gets stuck on pillars that he can walk around. He runs faster on walls than he does on the floor which doesn't even make sense. He is literally all risk for no reward and a free KO in 99% of match-ups. Disappointing, as he was the character I was most looking forward to.

Sounds like a skill issue. A real Spidey fan adapts and flows with it.

there a reason its a 5star difficulty

did you turned off the option for auto-swing?

this is a casual game. it's not meant to be competitive

I have seen Spiderman pull off 100 to 0 combos on 250 health characters that is legit a skill issue. He's a high skill ceiling high skill floor if you can play him you can carry matches.

yeah, you have to learn all the bad map design to avoid getting stuck and hitting things. not fun at all.

Spidey has a very high skill ceiling, just gonna take some time to get good at him. Go check out some top tier play from him and you'll see how broken he can be.

Watch Necros play him and you see will that you're just bad. Spider-Man is actually insane in the right hands and if you still have auto-swing turned on, you're doing it wrong. Turn off auto-swing and aim your web zip where it needs to go instead of relying on the game to choose for you. He is one of the best heroes in the game when you know how to play him correctly.

necros has been playing this for hundreds of hours already. not a good example to pick to show how easy to learn the character is.

I tried to make him work for three hours, he has no presence in-game and can't do anything once he's run out of his five web-shots that take an hour to reload and his zip that takes equally long. In a 1v1 with pretty much any melee character he his out DPS'd with only 250 health.

Well keep at it or perhaps it's just not a character for you and that's ok.

Not trying to be THAT guy but it really is down to skill issue. There's a reason he's a 5 star difficulty character. If you wanna get good with him you're gonna have to put in the time. In the beta, I watched a Tracer main play Spidey and he was destroying people.

I mean sure I could dump 300 hours into a specific character in a game that isn't this and then play the character but I don't think that is what the devs would want. Him being high-skill ceiling isn't them same as the camera making it look like you can make a web-zip only to be blocked by a 1ft step that's slightly to the left. Not to mention crawling helps in absolutely no way when he can't even web-shoot while on it.

Spider-Man is a hit and run character. Shoot webs, zip kick-em and follow up with a super punch then try to get a couple regular attacks on em and then web swing away. That's the Spider-Man way.

100% he's hit-and-run, the problem is his hit-and-run almost never phases the enemy team; as he does as much damage to the enemy team as a fly does to a windshield.

Best comparison I could make is he's scout TF2 if scout TF2 could only melee and has a ten second cooldown for everything he does. All risk, no reward.
