Full pc crash only a fee minutes into menus
All my game time is purely troubleshooting. My entire PC freezes after being in game looking at menus, heroes, etc,,.

I have tried pretty much all the basic troubleshooting tricks still same full PC brick. I noticed my shaders load to about 70% and than I get into menus fiddle around for a bit than crash. Perhaps that is something

Had the crashing issue where the game would launch and be running fine anywhere between 1-5 minutes and then freeze my entire PC, forcing me to restart via turning off the power supply. Have a NVIDIA 3070 and 12 gen intel i5 processor

What seems to have resolved the issue for now is either one of two things as far as I can tell:

1. I have a GIGABYTE motherboard, I noticed there was a GIGABYTE APP center software that launched on my PC startup that I never really paid attention to. I clicked on the updates in that program and let it install updates for everything it indicated, something BIOS related and an antivirus or something

2. I closed every single program from my system tray - the GIGABYTE app center, NVIDIA app center, VPN (that wasn't on), Logitech app, Riot Vanguard, and a few other random things. I have also since restarted my PC and tried to run the game again with all of the items I mentioned from the system tray running while Rivals is running and no crashes so far. So it seems to have been related to updating my BIOS/whatever else the GIGABYTE app center installed with their updates.

Previous troubleshooting things I tried that did not work for me:

Uninstalling and re-installing
Verifying game caches
Running steam as administrator
Updating NVIDIA drivers
Disabling NVIDIA shader cache
Clearing config files
Downloading and trying to run the game on Netease client/Epic
Disabling NVIDIA/steam overlay and uninstalling any other overlay programs (blitz/overwolf)
Setting graphics settings to low
Switching between SSGI and Lumen GI in illumination settings
Capping framerate to 60 or 30
Updating from Windows 10 to 11

Off all those apps you said, here I have Nvidia and riot vanguard only. The Nvidia app and the others you said that was open in your PC don't make sense to cause the crashes and freezes, but it seems it could be possibly a conflict with riot vanguard? Since it's a anti-cheat kernel level, it makes sense. Gonna try later!

It's not a UE5 problem, it happens here with all games by NetEase (Once human, blood strike and now with Marvel Rivals) and I don't know what it is too. Updated every single thing here I can and after some minutes it freezes and crashes my PC, it doesn't matter which resolution or graphic settings is. Something this company put in the game it's causing a conflict because it's not a coincidence happening only in their games. Still waiting for a solution!

RTX2060
SSD
16GB ram
RYZEN 7 2700
Downloaded blood strike to test if it indeed was a netease games issue and it does seem to be i wonder if it has anything to do with the anti cheat software they are using because it seems like from what others are saying there is no issue in CBT i never got to check out the CBT so no idea if thats the case but it seems like the devs are in no rush to fix this issue guess we just gotta get entirely new hardware which is not an realistic option at least not for me and not for a f2p game EDIT: just for clarity bloodstrike by default runs in windowed mode unlike rivals i dont believe its a graphics issue it seems to be a issue with either the kernel level anticheat this company uses or a memory leak after updating my BIOS the game still hard crashes my entire computer but instead of just keeping the last thing on screen that was drawn it freezes keeps for a bit then screens go black im going to test the game on my ROG ally to see if issue persists on there as well but i suspect its a combination of having an older cpu/MoBo and the anti cheat not playing nice with it desktop specs are as follows:
Cpu:AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU:RTX 3080 12gb
MoBo:asus rog strixx 470f
Ram:32 gb
samsung SSD

In the little launcher screen before the game launches there is a button in the bottom left that says "Clear Local Configuration Files".

If that does not work I did not take a very scientific approach so did a few things w/out checking what worked, another thing I did before it worked was downloading the gigabyte control panel that matched with my mobo. upon downloading it, I took it out back and ended all the software running with the control panel with task manager. Also there may have been a windows update in there but id figure you've done that by now.

Hopefully this works for yall. it worked for me and I was gonna hit my head on teh wall this morning :) good luck yall. I did everything outlined here in conjunction w/ people above this thread.

and whoever posted they are on Windows 10. It is BY FAR time to upgrade Windows.
Bruh, Windows 10 is still superior both aspect wise and optimization wise compared to Windows 11, people aren't gonna "upgrade" anytime soon. It's the same thing that happened with Windows 7 and Windows 8.
I suspect the problem is CPU compatibility as well. I have an ancient i7 930 paired with a 3060 12GB. The CPU is obviously a bottleneck for modern games but it's still fine for pretty much everything else I can throw at it. Anyway, through my trial and error tweaking the settings, I found that going from 60FPS frame limit to 30FPS appears to delay the full system freeze by about a minute. So it seems that frame render timing might have something to do with it. Still haven't gone anywhere past the menus though. Windows 10 BTW.

I can confirm this worked for me also. I just disabled the aura sync lighting service (asus mobos) running in the background and the game ran smooth for a couple hours, no crash yet.
Try to click on a "Start With GPU Debug Mode" in game launcher settings. It works for me after updating and trying everything. I don't know how it will work in the future, but at least i don't crash at the menu and play full match without any glitches, crashes and PC restart)

I can't believe it but this thing worked to me too.. its kinda funny that an rgb config service can do something like that to a game..
since update , 1 crash in 10 hours played , that's a good new ...
eeehhh... after a few days game crashes again... ask a friend to send my "crash log file" to rivals discord support... idk maybe this would help :(

Resolved for me.
Just installed this & had the same full system lock-up within maybe 1 minute of sitting on the menu, every time i launch the game.

Spent the last couple of hours troubleshooting & resolved my issue.

For me it was caused by Asus AI Suite (technically, by this game!).

If i exited it from the system tray before launching the game then it doesn't freeze.
I disabled launch on startup & now the game runs fine.
I would suggest exiting out of everything in the system tray & see if the game still freezes, then reboot & close a couple of things & try again & repeat until you narrow it down.

I suggest starting with anything that interacts with your motherboard firmware (Mobo company software).

I had tried these other suggestion which all still froze my PC:
Disable Nvidia "Shader Cache Size"
Limit FPS
Disable Vsync
Update GPU Drivers
Disable Nvidia Overlay
Disable Steam Overlay
Close RTSS (Riva Tuner Overlay)
Launch Steam as Admin

Some people have claimed that some of these worked for them. Good luck!

This worked for me too.. so thankyou!
I went into "services" and disabled the automatic startup of Asus Armour Crate.. stopped my pc from hard resetting after 30 seconds of game (the fourth crash damaged my OS so I couldnt login) and no more crashes.
so after the DEC 10th patch i was able to play the game and would have just the game crash every hour or so which was not a huge deal to me because it did not brick the computer and i got to play the game lol. i Played today for a bout an hour logged of the game than got back on couple hours later and im back to full brick after few minutes in menus. NetEase is what did i do wrong :(
