Full pc crash only a fee minutes into menus
All my game time is purely troubleshooting. My entire PC freezes after being in game looking at menus, heroes, etc,,.

I have tried pretty much all the basic troubleshooting tricks still same full PC brick. I noticed my shaders load to about 70% and than I get into menus fiddle around for a bit than crash. Perhaps that is something

I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION. So more into the rabbit hole of browsing any NetEase game reddit and forum I can find I found a suggestion to run a 3rd party shader cache handler. That sounded super annoying so I thought, why not just remove shader caching all together. Went to the NVIDIA app and disabled it globally. After a painstakingly longer compile, I dont have any crash/freeze at all. We did it yall. Now to just make it program specific..

NVIDIA APP -> Graphics -> Global Settings -> Shader Cache Size: Disabled

I had this problem back in the last version of the beta and was happy to see that it had been fixed on launch date as I was able to play for the entire day yesterday for around 9 hours without running into any crashes.

Flash forward to today, the first time I launch the game and play for about five minutes my pc black screens, and restarts. I have spend a long time today trying newer and older drivers, disabling overlays, changing install locations, verifying game files, etc. and I have yet to find a fix.

This must be an error with the game for this to be the case. curious if anyone has had any luck with finding a fix. Hopefully it gets fixed soon so we can actually play :(

Once I'm into the main menu, my whole PC freezes after two minutes. I have the latest drivers for my GTX 1070, my CPU is an Intel Core i5-7400, I'm on Windows 10, and I installed the game to an SSD. Long time in awhile since a game froze my whole computer. I haven't played any of the dev's other games, so I don't know if it's related to that.

Man please try my solution Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options (or just go to the search bar and type "Choose a power plan"). Then just switch from Balanced to Power saver and try again. I dont know why everyone is ignoring this. Just dm'ed someone and made them try this and it worked.

Just give it a try, literarily takes 2 minutes to try and may solve your issue.

Tried this and unfortunately did not work

I noticed this as well , Shaders compile till 74% and instantly starts the game , and I had 3 freezes so far , but I was able to alt tab and press windows keys to force my pc to sign out to get out of that frozen screen . I know this is not a solution , I was thinking it might be driver issue from my end .

Complete freeze as well after a couple minutes. I have only had this problem on one other game with no solution, Once Human. No indications of any issue, just locks up out of nowhere and usage/temps are completely normal when it does. No BSOD ever, reliability check says nothing. I have tried overclocking/underclocking everything, changing so many BIOS settings, reinstalling every driver, running CMD repair prompts. Nothing works and I have no idea why it is this game and Once Human that i can just not play. I played the CBT for Rivals without any issue too, so idk why it suddenly just perma freezes. No issues running max settings on more demanding games either, literally only Rivals and Once Human will freeze me no matter what settings or fixes I use.

I'm hesitant to try this, as it could mess up even more things. Best bet is to wait for developer to update!!

I tried doing it on my Radeon VII system via a registry hack since AMD removed the shader cache management from their Adrenaline software. It didn't help that I could tell. Clearing shader cache (which is still available in Adrenaline) didn't help either.

Best results I've gotten so far were to step down to 1080p, set all settings to low, and lock framerate at 60 fps (and disable upscalars like FSR). It still crashes though, especially when I try to play Thor.

Tried this, also tried setting it to Unlimited, sadly didn't work for me, also tried using:

"Memory Cleaner" by Koshy John, but that didn't work either. Helped someone in another thread though, so worth a try - but this solves CPU memory leaks and Marvel Rivals crash/freeze seems to be more GPU related.

I'm still convinced its some sort of a cache or leak though, only thing that makes sense as to why I can run it for a few moments regardless of graphic settings at flawless FPS

You and others may not agree... but you might wanna updates windows, gang.
Are you also running this on SDD/HDD/NvME?

Ran mine first on HDD but moved it to an SSD.
You're right about Windows, running 10 rn, I don't think I can upgrade to 11 because of virtualisation, but do you think it will really help? I'm very happy to give it a try but I had updated windows 10 and thought that was enough...

Your friend that had the problem, what seemed to help him?

Yes - sorry about the ... super long delay ;\ I had him validate the files, clear steam cache, update his nvidia drivers via nvidia app then reboot pc. He is on win 10, running a 20xx, I believe SDD.

He also thought it was not going to work lol
