Man please try my solution Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options (or just go to the search bar and type "Choose a power plan"). Then just switch from Balanced to Power saver and try again. I dont know why everyone is ignoring this. Just dm'ed someone and made them try this and it worked.
Just give it a try, literarily takes 2 minutes to try and may solve your issue.
Pc 13600k - z790 msi latest bios - 4070 gpu - no heat problems..
Companies using UE5 ♥♥♥♥...
UPDATE and RESPONSES:
I'll try to hit every comment in this post to help narrow down this issue for us:
- To start, I have all storage types, and have moved these files to each one to see if it fixes anything. It's currently sitting on my NvME after SDD and HDD did nothing.
- I also update to Win11 because it was time anyways, and it fixed the freezing! but it now just crashes to black screen XD.
- I get past Shaders Compile just fine, it always crashes a few minutes after this.
- This game only runs Dx12 so that doesnt matter, but i double checked it was up to date
- I tried the power settings suggestion and it did nothing, though Battery Saver made it the farthest but probably coincidence
-I tried a VRAM cleaner that trims at 80% (suggested in another forum) and it doesnt even hit 40% before the crash so i dont think VRAM is the issue either
- This is NOT a UE5 problem, I hobby code in it and never had this issue. And given this happens in Once Human (not UE5 btw) and someone said another game(by NetEase), I am 99% certain this is specifically a NetEase problem. and SPECIFICALLY a NetEase problem that they add after their ClosedBetaTests. Because I found another mention on Once Human forum that they have the same issue, but ran CBT for it fine just like I have. I (and you all as well should) will try to report all of this to NetEase but who knows how well that will work.
13600k - bios updated - 4070 (latest driver) - 32 gb ram - nvme ssd 6000/6000
cant play game..
Ran mine first on HDD but moved it to an SSD.
You're right about Windows, running 10 rn, I don't think I can upgrade to 11 because of virtualisation, but do you think it will really help? I'm very happy to give it a try but I had updated windows 10 and thought that was enough...
Your friend that had the problem, what seemed to help him?
Same exact two games that do it to me
Both games by NetEase, if you download Blood Strike there, it will happen the same thing. Something in their games its making many PCs crash the same way. No solution yet :(
So maybe if you pre-loaded it, try to reinstall and see if that helps.
Me neither, doens't make sense but it's there and it's happening. No matter what game but if it's from NetEase, it crashes and there's a looooooooot of people with the same problem. So bizzare!
