Marvel Rivals, LINUX WORK AROUND for Third Party Agreement.
If you have this game, it will run on Proton. IN order to Bypass the Third Party agreement, you must get to the ''Press to start" screen. go to settings and select third party agreement and accept. Your game may freeze still but will allow you to accept the terms on launch afterward. Then the game will work just like on windows, ignoring the wrong OS message. Hope this helps all the fellow Linux Users. I'm running Kubuntu Linux Plasma 6. With An NVidia GPU and 560 driver.

Where are you seeing this in the settings? I'm able to open my settings, but it just shows graphics and audio settings, there's a section called other with just network diagnostics and in-game pop-up tutorials.

I think it's the button right below the settings button (looks like a little comment sign). This opens a different ToU screen, but it still crashes there for me and won't accept any input.

People are having problems running this on linux? I had no issues using latest NixOS with proton experimental. I ignored the popups and it allowed me to run the game just fine.

I was able to get past the ToU screen by lining up my mouse with where the accept button appears and spamming clicks and the enter key.

It's specifically some combination of KDE, an NVidia card, and whatever 3rd party code they use to show the Terms of Use screen causes it to crash. If you can get past the ToU, it plays fine.

Same here, NixOS + GE-Proton9-18 and everything seems to work alright

Could be one of the first two then, since I use Hyprland, and have an AMD card

I'm getting crashes/lock ups after some matches. Is it because I'm using Proton Experimental or maybe some graphics setting?

For me it was the combination (any) Wayland + NVidia card. Had to start Plasma in X11 mode, pump once through the Terms of Usage popup and now I can play in Wayland Plasma

This is the workaround for now. I found a thread on the UE forum that Wayland+nVidia 555, 560, 565 all have crashing issues, specifically when displaying text.

I'm running nvidia driver 565.77 on wayland. Using Proton GE-9-20, once you get past the terms on X11 as Pogoyo mentions, then it works on Wayland. although still posts error about not being on windows 10./11.
