Doctor Strange's portal crashing games

I am not sure if its just me or if anyone else has this issue but for some reason that I can't put my finger on, Strange's portal has a 1/3 chance to just crash my game. Worse yet that due to these crashes (unless i am quick about it using task manager) I can't reconnect due to someone filling my spot and I get to sit in timeout for 5 minutes due to the game's fault. Between open beta and release I have upgraded my GPU so it seems that its not an issue with that. I have tried verifying files to changing graphics settings. Anyone got any tips to fix this?

Downloaded the game yesterday

Same here. I played the beta and used the portal a lot and never had a problem. But now it crashes every time i go through it

I have massive FPS drops when Strange activates his portal, so also +

Just now there was two doctor who and both used portal at the same time and i did not even go through it and my game still crashed

Happens for me too. I actively have to avoid Doctor Strange players or me playing Doctor Strange

Yep, it seems they've programmed it like to load two maps at once or something for the portal effect.
