Extreme Stuttering FIX
anyone else experiencing extreme stuttering like every 4 seconds? i can run 60fps, it will sometimes dip.
doesn't matter if everything is on low, still get the fps drops spike
I'm on i5-12600k rtx 3060 32gb ram
pls help

UPDATE:
I FIXED IT, FOR ANYONE WHO HAS THE SAME PROBLEM THIS IS WHAT I DID

-Turning OFF Control Flow Guard
-Updating to latest graphic drivers
-Using the auto graphics settings, choosing Lowest, and restarting the game
-Verifying game cache
-Using TAAU as upscaling
-Choosing full screen

this is probably a very specific setting that if turned on, is causing the dips...

UPDATE 2:
after many tests and tries, it is actually CFG that's causing the game to stutter, the game in ultra with CFG off, runs with no stutter

Thx to SycloneDx for this alt solution:
Windows settings > graphics settings > disable hardware accelerated GPU scheduling.

Its not CFG its Unreal Engine 5. They never should have chosen UE5 whilst knowing how many issues that engine has. They have a lot of optimization they need to work on if this game is to succeed in the long run.

ofc its not CFG, but it's a temporal fix while they actually address the issue, it's been over a week, and no patch yet
Turning off CFG worked for me.

Dunno if it'll help anyone else. But I found a nice performance boost by setting the game to Ultra. Optimize game setting defaults to High for me. Something's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the game

Ok, After updating my drivers, disabling control group flow, switching from FSR to TAAU, I made the rookie mistake of not restarting my PC after the driver update. I think that may have been it. a few games in, the stuttering is gone but I could be wrong. I've had a stretch of stutterless games before so it could come back idk. Still, this game's optimization is garbage.

Stuttering returned. However, I FINALLY FOUND THE SOLUTION! At least for me. Windows settings > graphics settings > disable hardware accelerated GPU scheduling. After trying a dozen fixes, this was the one. Game runs buttery smooth FINALLY :steamhappy:

For anyone who has CPU issues, follow this guide but switch the exe name with ''Marvel-Win64-Shipping.exe''

usually you can just manually switch task priority to high in task manager, but EAC prevents this so you have to edit REGEDIT to force swap priority to high. Also you don't need to follow the first 7 steps. Just have the game closed and that's good enough. Just the second half of the guide works.

This game seriously runs like sh*t on PC.... and the matches won't even wait for everyone to join in before starting... this game sure has room for improvement...

You guys should make sure you have DOCP enabled in your bios
just tried this but my game started crashing in every match. It never crashed before that.

Thanks so much man this was the only thing that fixed it for me, literally tried every single other fix before seeing yours
Yeah I was putting up with this problem for over a month getting annoyed each time you load new match have to wait 5 seconds for characters to load in, and when comes to dr strange portal cause microstutters and randomly get microstutters in a match which i hate when playing as vemon or Wolverine.

After turning to off default Control Flow Guard it's like all the issue magically gone away, and loading into new match characters pop up 1 second which is a lot better not seeing my character at all.

Thanks for posting this, and wish this bug was fixed.

Any updates on this?, ive tried everything, the only thing that worked 4 me ONCE, was to set the game on windowed mode and choose a minor resolution, i repeat 4 some reason this only worked once lol... Man, on season 0 i was able to play with some stuttering but now, its really unplayable 4 me

So, the CFG worked for me back when the game first released, and again after a windows update that caused my game to lag again. Buttery smooth, loaded fast, maybe every so often my FPS would drop like crazy, but I'd take that over now, because..

Now? My game is a full on slideshow. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling and doing the CFG thing again, plus disabling the hardware accelerating gpu, but to no avail.

I dunno what else I can do.

Yeah it feels like as they are rapidly updating the game performance is slowly taking hits. Would be really nice if they did a performance pass, there is no reason the game should run in this state on PC.

I will say, both times that it's gone to crap, it's because I've had a small windows update.

I showed my friend who knows way more about PCs than me, and he said there's no reason why they would've messed with my game, and I believe him, but it seems more than a coincidence when the game ran poorly right after said updates.
