Why are there bots in every quick play match on both teams?

440k players online and they still feel the need to have bots in allegedly PVP lobbies. Why? What is the purpose of this? It feels really scummy and unethical. I have to question if every sick play was a player or bot.

Before you go saying I am wrong, pay attention to people with names that are capital letter, few characters, capital letter few characters. Like DelGrie or HeeilFeo. Stuff like that. They will play like absolute garbage, then check your recent players - they are always offline, with a restricted profile, immediately after a game.

This has happened now for almost every one of my 10 games, at least 2-4 of these in each game, and always, always the same naming convention, offline immediately after the game, with restricted profiles.

I really wanted to love this game, because the beta was fun, and the core gameplay is solid, and I respect a lot of their choices for monetization and what not, but dude... this completely kills it for me

You're probably not near other players so its adding bots to your game. I am in a populated area with good internet and every one of my games is all humans.

I am playing on North America 2. The likely most populated region right now. That's not how its working. I am just getting paired with bots lol. I don't know why everyone is so reluctant to accept it as a possibility, especially when you can just... prove it yourself

this sort of obfuscated engagement farming isn't exactly off brand for a team that predominantly makes mobile games, it seems like an transparent attempt to increase everyone's perceived skill level by having a couple bots on each team feeding

probably also avoids 6dps, though you just end up with 4dps and a bot heal/tank which isnt much better

Yeah, the mobile game part of it is what gives it away to me. Every mobile game does this crap and its infuriating questioning what is real and not. I hate this trend so much dude.

Yeah, the mobile game part of it is what gives it away to me. Every mobile game does this crap and its infuriating questioning what is real and not. I hate this trend so much dude.

kind of a race to the bottom with this stuff because you also have streamers and youtubers who warm the perception of what 'normal' looks like in pvp to a lot of people, compared to the content people consume these days 1 k/d feels subpar so devs need to pull all sorts of tricks to make people feel like theyre carrying

this game also inflates kills by including assists in the killcount whilst also having assists as a seperate category, which is a more common one

It's a freshly released F2P game based on one of the most popular IPs in the world. Do you think they live on Mars?

These games will match you in a game against all bots so that you can win and feel like you're really really good. I was playing the pokemon version of this and i played for like 2 hours, did like 20 matches or so, and every single one of them was against bots, and I was not in the bot que. other games like this have a "hot and cold" system where you will play against real players but if you lose you get paired against bots so that you can win, feel good about yourself, and keep playing.

They know people stop playing if they are losing all the time. they want you to keep playing. so they make you play against bots so that you feel like you're a chad.

also, the bots in this game are funny. they start out really good with the aim botting, but then, randomly, they just stop attacking. you can literally just jump into a middle of bots, walk around, and they'll just stare at you without even basic-attacking. Its hialrious.
