Double check your steam overlay in both the general settings and within Marvel Rivals. Toggling it helped one of my friends fix the issue.

Open Steam and go to your game library > right-click on Marvel Rivals and select Properties > navigate to the General tab and confirm that Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game is checked.

Go to Steam Menu (top left) > Settings > Click on In-Game section > Untick Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game > Click Ok.
