Controller not working?

The game isn't detecting my controller at all, regardless of if I have Steam Input on or not. Anyone else having this issue?

That just sucks, I have old man hands and can't play on keyboard cause of carpal tunnel. This is pretty limiting for the game.

It did not, I just tried it twice.

Connect it by wire it fixes it

Found solution : set default settings for controller and it works. Do not disable steam input

I got that to work but it keeps disconnecting my controller after a short while and then refuses to recognize it again. It's fine, I'll just put up with kbm to try out the game till they potentially fix the dodgy controller connectivity.

I've been trying to use the steam deck in gamepad mode with, without Steam Input and nothing works. Initially it's fine, but after a few minutes the controller input stops working.

I'll try to make a KBM input while this gets fixed. I got kicked off a match earlier after my input stopped responding and the game considered I was inactive...

Tried to configure buttons at controler tab and the game says i need to connect a controler first (detail: my controler is connected at USB ><)

False, overlay works. Steam input works too.

Just taking a stab here for the ones suffering this problem: Is your chosen controller set to P1? Press and hold Guide and Hit A, X, or B on whatever controller you use. In the quick menu somewhere you can change what port each controller goes into. I've had other games give me ♥♥♥♥ over this, maybe this will help?

It did work the day of release, you just had to turn on the controller after starting the game the first time; after that it worked ever since.

Also no patches have come out for the game so how would they have changed it between release and now?
