Initialization FAILED

The game won't launch, it keeps saying, "failed to initialize steam. Please check your connection. " Steam is running. IDK what to do

Run Steam as administrator. This worked for me.

I had to install steam on my admin account. Worked after that

i ran it for a bit yesterday but i keep getting the initialization error even after running as admin and making sure my account is an admin

a friend had the same error, his windows account had no admin rights, he then logged in as admin, started the game and it worked. It wasn't enough to start the application as admin, he had to use the admin account once. He was then able to play with the regular account and no longer had any errors
