How do you bypass the launcher on startup?
Launchers are always annoying, and I cant seem to disable it running as admin as well. I tried the –skip-launcher in the launch options but that doesnt seem to work

Trying to figure this out too. And the launcher triggers User Account Control (UAC)

If anyone figures this out I'd love to know it. Skipping it would mean (possibly) getting back into matches faster when it crashes

yep, i have the exact same issue. having to go through a launcher for one game is annoying as hell. What is more annoying is that the UAC ask for me to log in every time. I tried changing the compatibility to always run as admin, but this didn't work. Please devs fix this... its sooooooo annoying to do every time.

I don't get a UAC prompt. You could trying lowering how strict it is.

is there a way to do it per game? i dont want to have to change UAC just for this one game... it shouldn't be a problem honestly... no other game is like this tmk.

I don't think so?
Idk I never checked because any virus or malware worth a damn can get around UAC anyway and UAC only really prevents the user from running stupid simple malware scripts. (I've been fixing and building PCs for 23+ years now and have had to remove viruses by hand on more than 1 occasion, and UAC didn't do ♥♥♥♥ about them)

UAC is really just one of those "protect the user from themselves when they lack basic computer common sense" situations and in another generation or 2 it likely won't be needed at all when people learn better computer hygiene; or realize how bad it is at it's job.

You can prevent the UAC from triggering for nothing as the launcher don't always need admin rights.
Open the registry editor (regedit)
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
Add a new String Value
Value name: Your path to MarvelRivals_Launcher.exe for example C:\Program Files\steam\SteamApps\common\MarvelRivals\MarvelRivals_Launcher.exe
Value data: RunAsInvoker

I've made a note of this and I will be adding it to my Megathread when I am unbanned in 2 days.

Thank you for providing a UAC solution that doesn't require turning down UAC.

Now if only we could find a way to bypass the launcher entirely...

You can also skip the UAC prompt without editing the registry, by adding the following to the game's launch options in Steam:
cmd /min /C "set __COMPAT_LAYER=RUNASINVOKER && start "" %command%"

I put this in the launch options, and it says its starting for a brief second, a small window frame blinks and disappears, then the button just goes back to "play" with nothing happening

I'd love to be able to skip UAC without editing registry. Maybe Martok's text above needs to be edited or something, if it isn't working.

I don't think it's possible, many Asian games like this all come with mini launcher
