Mine downloaded at 195MB/s. Then unpacking peaked at 130MB/s. So it is not based on hard drive speed.
It's literally hard drive speed... feel free to do what I said while unpacking a game or even opening google... You download off the internet then your computer opens aka unpacks said file.

If it was drive speed it would've unpacked at least at 195MB/s which is as fast as it downloaded. I've seen it go at over 400MB/s installing other games before so idk what the problem was.

Not necessarily... again you need to see what your writing speed is on the hard drive you put the game on. Normally when we download games on here it downloads straight to the hard drive. In this case they allowed us to "pre-download" but not install (which I know is stupid, could have just kept servers shut down until go time). So with this game we downloaded the files and our computers kept the file packaged, then once it was go time they allowed our pc's to open the package.

If you read my post, you would've seen what speed the drive is capable of. Logic would also dictate that if a game downloads to a drive at 195MB/s, it can write at least that fast, so shouldn't install at 60MB/s slower. But this is what happens when you read a few words and then respond - it makes it look like logic wasn't employed.
