In my case some of the files got quarantined by my anti-virus, I made an exception and restored it and now its working fine.

Restart your PC after you've cleared the anti virus quarantine and it'll fix it. A restart of Steam is not enough (at least in my case).

Its an anti virus thing, make sure you allow an exception for the game and steam and check if theres anything in youre quarantine

I have a friend with that problem they have to uninstall and reinstall the game before every game night to be able to play lol
