Crashing at shaders compiling due to vram usage
Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Exiting...

After the new update I cannot make it past the shaders compiling screen. I have a RTX 3080 (10gb of vram) and this is the first time I've had this specific crash problem (although I've had ♥♥♥♥-tons with this game) Anyone know a possible fix?

Update: The fix I found for myself was setting my DOCP profile from 3600 MT/s to 3200 MT/s and so far I haven't crashed again, worth trying if you're having this issue and sharing your results

Bad card unfortunately. I pity anyone who bought any low-mid range nvidia card during this crysis. RAM issue will be real.

This is the only game I crash on, these cartoon graphics should not be doing this
I play this game on a so-called gaming laptop
i5 11400H
RTX 3050 Ti 4 GB
16 GB ram
1080p
Sometimes my GPU and RAM is getting close to 100% usage but it seldom crashed
Shaders are compiled on CPU. It pushes CPU to run at 100% usage for few minutes. I would say rather ram is used not vram for compilation alone.

The error you see is common for unstable intel cpus in ue5. It could be overclocking, undervolting, degraded cpu, ram oc.

Now I see you postedd later that you have amd , dunno then.

It is not the 3080. People on there are people crashing all over reddit that are running a 7900 GRE with 16GB. There are multiple issues, most are going to be driver based. NVidia has become a ♥♥♥♥ show, and no longer is the premier product it once was.

Shader compilation is done on the CPU.

Try to clear shader cache in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Nvidia or in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache

Otherwise and as suggested earlier, it's down to CPU and memory stability (or ratger lack there of).
