If you buy Most/All Pages of the Battlepass, You're the Problem with Gaming
I already see messages like "Sorry, I don't speak broke" or something along those lines but gamers have been groomed into this idea that instant gratification is a good thing despite it completely taking away from the satisfaction of earning a reward.

Yes, when you fully buy a significant amount of the battle pass whether it be from having a ton of money or saving up, you will get that immediate satisfaction and enjoyment from playing that skin that you wanted for a couple matches... until that joy runs out. quickly those skins will just become another collection purchased by your wallet.

You didn't EARN it. Do the battle pass the proper way may take a player weeks and likely even months but at the end of it, you get to actually look at an accomplishment and have pride in something that you did, and PEOPLE don't realize that THIS is the subconscious reason many people play VIDEO GAMES to begin with. I like the gold Moon Knight skin because i actually earned it and feel some pride when I wear it, I'm sure others feel the same.

The battle pass will never go away, you're not getting pressured by FOMO like games usually do so actually work for something. who cares if you're just a casual gamer and it'll take you longer then the people who log on every single day, they are not the standard you need to meet.

F*** Instant gratification, lets earn our rewards

I don't see a problem with someone paying for battle pass currency, tbh. It's their money that they spent time to earn. When you get a skin by playing you also spent time to earn it. And either way you should use cosmetics because you like them, not because you're trying to impress other people. You should also be playing the game because you enjoy it, not just to earn something.
Sorry, I don't speak broke
(I didnt read the rest of it)

Nope. The real problem with gaming is gamers who can't understand anything at all about the hobby they partake in. Then they go on these epic rants showing everyone they have no clue about what they're talking about.

They then go on crusades against games, they try to ruin the game for the people that like it and they waste their time attacking games when they should realise its just a video game and move on with their lives.

Thats the problem. Those people, they are the toxic element in gaming that everyone hates.
I have a real problem with games that use an expiring battle pass but Marvel Rivals is doing it the right way.
i ain't buying anything....
Imagine, after paying money for the luxury pass, that you still have to "earn" those items.

Battle Passes themselves ARE the problem, not how gamers interact with them. A normal monetization is to say if you spend X, we give you Y. Instead, you spend X to still have to EARN Y...

Battle Passes are exploitation, and everyone who buys a Battle Pass of ANY type, is accepting exploitation. The gamers didn't create this ♥♥♥♥. The companies did. Leave the blame where it belongs: on greed.

even if battle passes are annoying, considering how much stuff is in the battle pass, im more inclined to call it "pay less money, spend time to get the skins" where instead of paying 100 usd, you spend 10 usd and just play the game that you clearly already find fun if you were willing to spend. (definitely not worth it if theres only 1 single skin youd ever think to use in it however, theyll probably put bpass skins in the store eventually and you can just save up Units for that time)

In every game I've ever seen a battle pass in, the majority of the items on the pass are of no interest to me. And that's true for most people, there are just a few items they want, the rest are junk. Battle Passes are a scam, not a good deal.
honestly i don't know what is worst the old Loot box system ( granted only overwatch really did it well in the end ) or the current gen Second job slave to the grind or shell out 100+% battle pass
Battle pass systems ruined gaming. Skins too. If you were a gamer from the days of Quake, you would have seen everything fall down to corporate greed.

I'm hardly in love with battle passes as a concept..but then again if y'all wanna spend extra money to skip through it, what do I care? No skin off my arse. Then again I'm the idiot that paid out of my pocket for the Malice and Vengeance bundles because I like those skins. So take my opinion with an ant-man-sized grain of salt.
agreed, OP.
Somebody has to whale, otherwise everybody else has to pay for the game in another form if it's a 'free' game.
