They then go on crusades against games, they try to ruin the game for the people that like it and they waste their time attacking games when they should realise its just a video game and move on with their lives.
Thats the problem. Those people, they are the toxic element in gaming that everyone hates.
Battle Passes themselves ARE the problem, not how gamers interact with them. A normal monetization is to say if you spend X, we give you Y. Instead, you spend X to still have to EARN Y...
Battle Passes are exploitation, and everyone who buys a Battle Pass of ANY type, is accepting exploitation. The gamers didn't create this ♥♥♥♥. The companies did. Leave the blame where it belongs: on greed.
even if battle passes are annoying, considering how much stuff is in the battle pass, im more inclined to call it "pay less money, spend time to get the skins" where instead of paying 100 usd, you spend 10 usd and just play the game that you clearly already find fun if you were willing to spend. (definitely not worth it if theres only 1 single skin youd ever think to use in it however, theyll probably put bpass skins in the store eventually and you can just save up Units for that time)
