Sucks to be a Rocket main in higher comp
I'm currently in diamond 3 pushing up to 2 as a reference. I'd say that about 3/5 games the second I pick rocket I get 3 people telling me to swap off the apparent worst support in the game and that I'm throwing. I've found that on rocket I average like 35-50k heals but from my experience I just get told to swap to the apparent good supports of snow, mantis, and cloak. Usually I do cause mad teammates play worse and it's fine to swap but I'm better at rocket than any other support so it gets on my nerves a little. Maybe that's not how it's been for you guys but it's kinda annoying.

Tell them to STFU. Rocket is great for the people who know how to use him. If they can't use him, they are of course going to say that. Tell them to get good.
Rocket main here, they are wrong.
His B.R.B by itself can be the thing that saves the team from losing a point, any tanks diving him get their hp deleted by his minigun, his jetpack and wall climbing make him hard to catch, he can heal like crazy by just shooting those balls into his team, he can turn an average bucky/punisher into a lethal killing machine with his team up ability plus he can ride Groot.

Anyone telling you Rocket is the worst support has no idea what they're talking about and have probably never played support in their life. If they want Luna or Mantis they can feel free to switch to a support themselves instead of instalocking the third DPS.

Yea exactly, I've had games where the whole reason we won is the B.R.B reviving a Hulk right after he died and he's able to use his ult and hold point. I almost never die since I'm tiny and can run forever on walls it's great. Infinite ammo Punisher and Bucky are crazy (maybe too crazy and need a nerf lol) and the Groot teamup is nice. Usually the people that tell me to swap are dps main characters that have 13 deaths at the end of the game screaming that I don't heal them enough and telling me how hard they carry. They can't handle damage and try to solo kill a team while walking into 4 ults and need a Snow ult to pocket them so they can get 1 kill.
Tbh, I turned off voice and chat since everyone was just being negative or talking ♥♥♥♥ mostly when the game wasnt going perfectly. Rarely were people actually giving comms anyways. Since then I have gone on multiple streaks and easily hit plat so far and this is my first time playing ranked.
theres no way youre in diamond 3 and people saying rocket is bad. rocket is known as the a very overpowered support by everyone at high rank. you must be like silver if people saying that.
Switch to Jeff
I play Rocket and i still do more heals than Cloak and Dagger players, even the Invisible Woman, don't listen to them, besides there's clutch plays to be made with the BRB, like instantly reviving your tank after they die, is so good.
Rocket mains are my fav. Befriended one that I'll queue with and I know I'm guaranteed at least one good support every game I play with them. His ult is literally so good too. kiss kiss rocket mains, ignore the haters

Rockets healing is AoE...
Don't let those naysayers get to you. Stick with Rocket if you're confident in your play. You're better at him than most, and that's what counts. The team should appreciate what you bring to the table, not just follow the crowd. Keep pushing to Diamond 2, and show them what a true Rocket main can do.
Have you tried playing a character that requires skill? Perhaps Mantis?

Sorry, but your teammates are right. You should only ever pick rocket if you have Punisher or Bucky on your team, and only if the other support is Luna, C/D, or Mantis. Refusing to pick the right character is doing your team a major disservice and will just end up wasting everyone's time.

It's about the value you can provide.

You can be amazing rocket. He still only does "good" heals.

Every other healer can do more damage and provides way more utility through the team. Both in abilities and ultimates.
