Is Dr. (Doctor) Strange a "WOKE" doctor?
As a newcomer to Marvel and a recent fan, I was curious about Dr. Strange. Why is he called a doctor? Does he actually save lives, or does he hold one of those WOKE liberal arts PhDs? His magic doesn't seem too woke, but the cape and goatee are a little suspicious. I haven't seen any of his movies or read any comic books. I really enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine and the Kraven movie. I didn't understand Morbius or Madame Web. Are Dr. Strange's movies worth watching? How WOKE are they?

Joke reply done, I know. It's in the title. Sorcerer Supreme (assuming he's the one actually holding that title in a given continuity).
See, you call it a joke, but this raises an important and interesting question:

Whose vision is superior and defining here? Gygax's, or Lee's?

I think this is worthy of debate, and possibly feasting.
I'm not going to pretend that I know a lot (or really anything) about DnD or other tabletop RPGs beyond the few campaigns I've played in, which were all homebrewed or tweaked from their origins (Pathfinder, 3.5, and 5 campaigns). So, I can't really speak to either Gary Gygax or (I believe) Adam Lee. However, I do appreciate the idea that there are strict rules to help divide various mystical powers/arts/classes. Otherwise, their differences are really only in their move sets. Why does a Warlock get Eldritch Blast and my Sorcerer doesn't? Their lore answers the question mostly.

It makes me think of the classification for draconic creatures. Dragons have two wings on their bodies and four individual limbs/legs and a distinct tail. Wyverns have two hind legs, tail, and their wings are their front legs/limbs. Both are draconic. To the lay man, both are dragons as dragon is the most socially known (not acceptable, but known) word. Is it really so wrong to call a draconic creature a dragon despite it being a wyvern? Unless, of course, draconic is considered a class like mammals and reptiles. Then the distinction is more important.

Well, you don't call a tortoise a turtle, or a turtle a tortoise. They're distinct. Yet, all tortoises are turtles, but not all turtles are tortoises. So, you could call a tortoise a turtle. All squares are rectangles, not all rectangles are squares. In casual context where the distinction doesn't affect the meaning or impact of the creature or object existing, how much does it matter to be right? And how does one correct someone else that a dragon is actually a wyvern? Do most people know wyverns and dragons like they do turtles and tortoises?

Person A: "Uh, it's actually a wyvern. It's so obvious by it's winged limbs."
Person B: "Fun fact, this is a wyvern. Basically a dragon, but [casual explanantion]."

Person A sounds annoying. Person B is sharing a fun fact. Neither needed to share. Does revealing the truth enhance the fun of the person enraptured by the fire-breathing draconic creature? If not, how necessary is it?

So, if I see someone casting spells, my immediate thought is wizard. No thinking. That's just the first word. Upon thinking, I can find the classification. But if someone calls Strange a wizard in front of me, does that bother me? And if so, why? Is the correction necessary?

In conclusion, I don't know whose vision is better for I don't know their visions. I think classifications/labels are important, but context matters regarding how necessary it is to follow or declare a classification so strictly. The average person doesn't care about these distinctions. Does that mean we shouldn't? No. Strange is still a sorcerer, and his powers are wizard.

But i think the creation of this thread took significantly more time as to actually search for the answer on the net.
Originally, the post was made to mock the thousands like it that are either troll bait or genuine. Why is "woke" capitalized each time? Why, indeed, is "Doctor" spelled out right after "Dr?" I'm a new fan, and I've only seen one MCU movie (Deadpool & Wolverine) with the others being Sony films. And I liked the Sony films (according to the post). I threw red flags all over the field. Is it my fault for making the post? Sure. Is it my fault that people engage with it? No. I'd have to take some accountability for making it. But, why are people responding? Some are sincere. Some are delusional. Some are playing into it. I forgot this post existed until half an hour ago or so. Someone actually gave this trash a clown. Until that stops, these posts won't go away. Regardless, I'm sorry you found your way here. Have a great day.

I'll be honest, this is one of the more perplexing replies I've received. Despite my ignorance showing in my post, I don't see where I was hating on the art. The perceived "hating" is in my satirical, yet dumb, discussion on "woke" content. I am genuinely interested in how you interpreted this post.

I like comics. More pictures, fewer words.
