Crashing upon entering a game after updating drivers
I've been playing this game for a long time and rarely had issues with it, its maybe crashed 2 or so times prior to this and always ran on high fps, but I updated my drivers today and now I crash upon loading into a game and even the practice range, I followed the instructions, looked through some forums, did everything I could and still get crashes, can someone help?

I had this as of today as well. I hadn't updated my drivers until after I crashed (basic troubleshoot) and it still hasn't fixed it. I've also been playing since S1 with like 2 crashes total across at least 300 odd games total (so fairly negligible)
I saw a troubleshoot that advised clearing the config via the launcher except now when I go to the settings to turn the volume down it also crashes (not just loading practice range)

Roll back your driver. The newest drivers are known to cause issues.

any tips or advice on how to do so? like what drivers, software necessary to roll back drivers, etc.

yep had this problem while ago and i can confirm its the new driver update from nvidia. so what you wanna do it go to the nvidia app and scroll all the way to the bottom it will say "previously installed driver" then just click reinstall.
I'm having the same issue. I'm still on the 576.02 (Apr 16 2025) GeForce driver. Issue began today (May 6 2025).

I've just been using the nvidia control panel, I'm guessing geforce experience is what I need to use, it actually said it needs to be upgraded to the nvidia app lol, if I have any more problems I'll be sure to ask but thanks so much.

I figured out its actually under device manager>display adapter>nvidia rtx (or whatever graphics card you have) and click properties and then driver and rollback is on it

yeah so I still have so far, rolled back the driver, didn't work, uninstalled, tried to find a version of the driver older than the current year (there wasn't one) and reinstalled, and I doubt I'll be able to play again until netease themselves fixes this, my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

When you rolled back the driver, did you select custom install, and select to do a clean install? Also, have you reset your PC after the driver rollback? If you're running a 13900 or 14900 CPU, make sure your cores are set to 53/54.

I totally understand the frustration; this should not be necessary for playing a game, and it's due to Rivals going with UE5 and hoping the 5000 series with Frame Gen would save them on the Nvidia side.

I'm ngl I've never messed with my cores and I am not as adept as some people I've met when it comes to troubleshooting, I am glad you're saying that this shouldn't be necessary lol but yeah I just need to retry a few things I guess, I'll see about reinstalling my drivers to a 2024 version and rebooting.

update, installing an rtx 4050 driver from november 2024 and restarting my pc does not work, yes 4050 is exclusively a laptop gpu, I am running on a laptop, and the game does very well on it up until now.
