Game is gonna tank now
Buffing the dmg of supports is the start of the end for this game, just like Overwatch all over again. Support power creep is real and ruins games. Healer players have the biggest ego of any player and instead of being shown verbally it's shown in their gameplay. Do Luna Snow players swap off to a less diveable support when they are feeding? Nope! Just type in chat and hope your team does the lifting for you. Don't bother easing the burden just feed until you lose and say team dif. Same with Cloak and Dagger players, are they going to swap off after being constantly dove and killed by Mag ult? Nope! Instead of counter picking they will just lose and cry that their character is weak and needs buffs. What happens when all these ego player babies start crying for buffs? The characters that output more at the cost of being vulnerable can now reliably kill DPS players 1v1. You already have characters like Mantis that are demons on their own, have you ever tried to flank as Psylocke into a Mantis backline? She outranges you and can sleep you if you get too close and kill you with her support. Why do supports need to output good damage in a team based game? If your team isn't going to peel for you and they aren't killing the enemy supports before you die, shouldn't your team deserve to lose? No, support players can never be at fault for the poor game play of their team we must buff their damage so they can kill dps players attacking them. Imagine they let dps pickup healthpacks and use them on demand because bad healers shouldn't impact their own game play so negatively. See where I'm going with this? Horrible balance.

Support Characters have great escape abilities and can self heal themselves. Along with having game changer Ultimate abilities.

The idea they need a damage boost is beyond stupid.

The Supports heal their teammates and the teammates in turn stay alive to protect the supports. And in between all that players find openings in their Rival teams Defense and Offense to win. And thats how teamwork works.

But Netease is creeping to throw teamwork away just so the Supports can take care of themselves better then they already can, which is already plenty.

Netease needs to look at less AI Generated graphs and statistics and use a bit more Soul when balancing the game.

i would say they dont need a damage boost, but i wouldn't say the healers escapes are ..... as strong as people think....most characters only get 1 chance..... and if you dont make it somewhere super safe.... your probably gone.

I dont think increasing the damage made any sense because it doesn't even stop the diving from happening.
Yeah, the damage boosts to Supports is quite bizarre. It does help defense but will it even be enough? I have my doubts...

the CND change.... is only going to make a difference if the diver doesn't 1 shot you. it goes from like on a small robot in the training its like 17 shots would go to 14 shots.

Luna is like the same thing, it only subtracts like maybe 1 shot extra......

Mantis i didn't try.

Adam is not even necessarily for dive its just an overall better change for his kit.
They only buffed 2 supports dmg (CND and Mantis) and changed Luna's damage falloff.

Just ban CND in every game and move on.

Luna having less falloff in turn makes her do more damage. The issue is that these character's don't have any issues its just that they are getting random damage buffs for literally 0 reason.

its because people see a damage buff of 20% increase from someone explaining it to them... and it sounds much better than what it is..... a full hp spiderman is still going to take an entire clip of CND auto attacks 3-4 more shots lmao.... your dead the same way you were before if nobody else attacks him.

I was afraid that...its just not enough damage! I think all the Supports just need an Armor buff.
Nah supports a different breed, its so boring to play just like tank so anything to keep them playing is okay to me.

Here is the problem with your post, teammates do not protect the supports. The reason supports are getting buffed (though very very lightly) is because they are being forced to fend for themselves. Allies do not turn around to fight off peel in most cases due to 1 thing, DPS and tanks have main character syndrome. This happens the most with the DPS where they think they are the main character of the game, that they are the only one that matters, and that they can take on any enemy they are up against. They don't have time in their delusional worlds to help teammates because in their heads, if they turn to help teammates, they are not the main protagonist.
If more players actually helped their supports there would be no need for these changes.

Trickle effect. We don't need to live in the reality where we buff divable healers by giving them +10% dmg buffs because they refuse to use a better pick. If these players were just educated on knowing to swap to a different character I guaranteed you these healers would have +3% winrates across the board.
