Petition: Upgrade for Magik's (Darkchild) ULT
As a player of Marvel Rivals, I enjoy experimenting with almost every character, trying out different abilities and playstyles—from the easiest to use to the more complex ones that become fun once you get the hang of them. Many of these characters could benefit from a few tweaks or improvements. That's why I want to suggest an idea for one of the characters I've been playing a lot recently: Magik, specifically her ULT Darkchild.
While Magik is a fun character with a solid skill set that has earned me many kills, I feel her ULT ends up being more of an ornament than a truly useful tool. With just a few changes, it could improve her performance and bring more balance to the game.
Currently, when you activate Darkchild, it feels like you barely have time to attack or react. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. The transformation duration is the same as Hulk’s Monster ULT, but the difference is that Hulk gets a brief period of invulnerability, allowing him to attack mid-combat and recover full health, along with a health multiplier.
On the other hand, Magik is very vulnerable during the transformation, and while it's true that the optimal approach is to activate her ULT while out of enemy reach, this makes you lose valuable seconds to re-enter the battle, even using portals. Additionally, she doesn't get any health boost, making the ability feel more risky than useful, especially in high-intensity matches against well-organized teams.
That’s why I suggest the following changes to her Darkchild ULT:

Add 1.5 seconds of invulnerability at the start of the transformation (like Hulk’s). This would give her a better chance to engage in combat without being eliminated before she can make the most of her ULT, especially in matches against organized teams, reducing her reliance on teammates.

100% health recovery and a temporary health multiplier increasing her health from 250 to 400 while transformed into Darkchild. This would improve her survivability and help her remain effective in long battles. This change would make the transformation more than just a visual effect, giving her competitive value in high-risk situations.

These changes wouldn’t just enhance Magik’s gameplay—they would give her a stronger presence in matches, particularly competitive ones. Although it might sound overpowered for some, I see these changes as essential for improving her viability.
When compared to other character ULTs, like Scarlet Witch’s (which recently received a shield) or Jeff’s (which can devour the whole team), these adjustments feel like the bare minimum needed to make Magik more effective without overpowered.

These modifications would not only improve the experience for those who enjoy Magik but also help balance her role in the game’s meta as competitive play evolves.

But this is just my opinion. What do you think? Do you think these changes would work? If you think it’s too much, feel free to suggest how you’d balance her. I’m open to suggestions.

I think the main issues of her kit isnt the ult, all though not the best. Its more her midfight
I think having that e ability passive on magik would actually be a lot neater of a idea incitiviszing better brawl potential

You can't just compare characters Ults and say since Character A&B has this then so should Character C.

Characters can also be balanced by their Ults. Magik is great as she is. Many say she is over tuned, I agree. Her not having the most amazing Ult in the game is one of the only things helping to keep her balanced. But her Ult is far from bad.

Hulks Ult sucks and is a horrible comparison. He is a huge walking Billboard that gets stunned. 9 out his 12 second transformation he being stunned or dead back Banner in a shorter amount of time. But his Ult being lack luster balances out his over all kit. Which is needed now since Gamma Shield cool down was significantly lowered.
The problem is that the team is giving up on it too quickly.

That's why I think this buff is more than necessary to better balance it in the game's meta.

The thing about characters A, B, and C like Hulk was simply to give a visual example of how it would work, not that they're the same.

That's why I say it would be a more than perfect improvement for MAGIK.

And thus make it easier and more fun to use.
