I can have 5 matches in a row doing 25+ kills a match as a Vanguard, plus good damage blocking and assists with low deaths, if any. Then on the sixth match I get 5 kills, 8 deaths, 1 assist, because I wasn't healed once in the entire match. It's crazy and it happens a lot.
This is why teamwork isn't just about working together, but also everyone performing their roles, because we all relay on each other to do just that.
My team's Invisible Woman disconnected for a full 2 minutes after the match has started so there wasn't any way of restarting the match. I was the only healer healing the team on Raccoon.
Despite being the only healer and winning the match for the team, the game only granted me +17 points. The Invisible Woman was granted +22 points. The rest of the team was granted much higher at over +30 points.
It's unfortunate since Emma Frost is a well designed character but all of that is completely irrelevant due to how bad the matchmaking in the game is. If matchmaking isn't fixed this season, then there's really no reason to support the developers anymore.
Marvel Rivals has a good concept but its competitive scene is the worst I've seen in any hero shooter game.
