I agree. Its funny how all the EOMM cultist doesnt appear when some of them make some crazy statements like said in many threads today about how you get a ``buff´´ or ``free wins´´ if you spend money in the game.

Ok, its simply not. First search on google even shows this without having to look too far. The presentation which you wont watch clearly shows the lady distinguishing skill based matchmaking being completely different than the new system they were presenting. The tiziel guy has a 45% winrate in grandmaster........ which is pretty much impossible in a game with a normal mmr system...... and matchmaking system based on actual skill.
Your factually wrong, You probably can't read the math they are putting down and probably do not understand a simple fact if the journal they published in is good, mid or bad.

Can you explain me how then im gettting this season about 8 points as SVP and 25/30 in a win? Past seasons you would lose 20 points even as SVP.
THey implemented more skill based this season yet you keep crying about EOMM.

You have shared a lot of times that i got 44% in season 0 , with biased data, all people was learning the game in S0 and heros and you get a lot of losses early, i dindt play QM.
I know you try to mock me when you say the 44%, but you know i got better % in the rest of seasons where i got GM as SOLOQ in every of them.
In fact, you barely touched GM yet you said you belong to Celestial.
Also you got 31% in one of the seasoons and 44% hardstuck on bronze, and dont come with excuses, its all you have whn it comes to you.
YOu should be sharing how you re cheating EOMM with your smurf account and driving you to celestial.
For team-based games there is absolutely no existing algorithm which can accurately estimate a player's skill. The only system which even comes close to correctly rating player skill is the ELO system which only applies to 1v1 games. ELO cannot be accurately adapted to team games, and it never has been.
This means that ALL matchmaking algorithms in team-based games try to find other ways to make "good matches" because they cannot estimate player skill.
This idea of "SBMM" is the actual myth. There isn't any such thing. You either have a 1v1 game with an ELO rating system and your algorithm matches according to that, or you have a matchmaking algorithm which is not based on player skill.
Furthermore, even in an ELO system, it takes many matches before the rating actually represents skill of the individual. But in most pseudo-competitive games like this, they reset the metric every 1-3 months. Even if they had a good metric for player skill, by the time they collected enough data to use it to generate fair matches, they would reset the ranks and POOF there goes the metric.

Sure i can explain this to you, but your still going to not read.
1) The matchmaking system has nothing to do with how points are awarded..... The match making system places you in a match based on criteria set by EOMM - your happiness. The points you get after a match are determined more by how you preformed, but that still does not mean your being PLACED in matched by how good you are.
2) I dont care what season, i dont care how you got there, im not even mad that you got there because most games do this now. You simply win more points then you lose. I dont blame you for it.... but dont act like GM means anything significant because it simply doesn't and thats the point im making.
3) Show me where i said i belong in celestial or WHERE i said i was almost GM. What i said was i simply did not play enough matches to get GM..... i was playing streetfighter 6 instead because the matchmaking system does not reward you for playing long sessions at a time. Your literally making stuff up.
4) It's not my fault the game wants me to make another account. Heck even your friend had 5-8 smurf accounts on the forums saying EOMM isn't real but then proceeds to do the EXACT thing you should do to avoid EOMM. I am not doing it to show boat my rank, im simply doing it to prove a point, that the game does not care about your skill and simply puts you in matches based on how long your logged in for/and the match outcomes of your games.
Player engagement = Happiness = utility = matchoutcomes + wait time + match length + rank........
The only thing changing game to game - is your match outcomes and possibly game length which HAS nothing to do with your individual skill identifiers.
I never once mentioned celestial..... and if i did, it was to mention how bad players got to celestial with marginal win rates which in many other games would result in you deranking vs ranking up.
Its pretty obvious...... whats happening here because on my other account i went 8-1........ the only time we lost on my first day was when our team all had 30-40% win rates........ and i was the only player on my team with a decent win rate - again matching you based on happiness. It also gave us a 3 stack who was terrible, and gave the other team a 2 stack which that in itself is not fair lmaooo. It should be 3 stack against a 3 stack.
The 2nd time i played my first 4 matches were braindead easy after waiting a few days to play. Then the game i lose is when my team picks the worst composition of all time....... again putting me with low win rate players......
We even had 3 GM players on our team....... and they could not beat 6 platinum players lmao.
I even intentionally picked characters to power up my team and they purposely swapped off and said why are you trying so hard in ranked - this was one of the GM players. GM is not a competitive rank im sorry.
You can cope however you want. It's SBMM with extra steps.
1) Ok I agree, i dont know how they could tell your skill especially without role queue or some kind of measure to lock in a character before hand. - I agree with you.
ELO can be applied to team games its not the team games that is the problem, its the amount of different characters where your skill on all the other characters would be infact different. No the reason why they use EOMM is to keep you on the game and quite frankly increase the sales of their skins. They easily could make more fair matches if they tried, but the point is that would make them less money so why do it.
League used to be SBMM - then it swapped to EOMM because ..... the game is now a gacha game inside a game and they make so much money off skins etc.
They should not be resetting the ranks the way they did in the first place.......it makes no sense everyone will just end up exactly where they were with enough games.
You did not really disprove what i said which was:
in the conference presentation which is REAL:
-they distinguish sbmm differently from their own.
- they show the equation on how they generally calculate your happiness which really has nothing to do with your skill - based on the slides - again this goes back to point #1 where they can't really determine your skill on playing different characters every match
-They also show how long matches are bad, the outcomes of your matches can be bad (winning too much or losing too much)
nothing they have shown was representative of fair matches and more a reflection of how it feels bad for you if you loose too much or simply hates you if you win too much.
Its simply not. They clearly differentiate this difference themselves. Who are we going to trust, the SWTOR support team member or the actual company talking about their own system?
What I am pointing out is that there is no super-fair awesome matchmaking algorithm for them to use.
For this game, you have decided to complain about the fact that the devs do active research to attempt to make better gaming experiences. The devs do this research because they know that there is no sufficient skill metric to make fun matches that will displace gamer rage.
You are also apparently agitated that they have published papers on these algorithms, which indicates that the devs are transparent about what they are doing. Transparency is usually a good thing. You know why devs don't always publish their algorithms? One is because they don't always understand them, and they just use what works. Another is that if players figure out how the algorithms work, then we can game the system in our favor. So why can't you rig EOMM?
