I've seen this stigma recently where if someone is playing with a Lord icon, they just expect this person to have a godlike performance in every match. Yes, generally a Lord will be competent in the hero they are playing, but NO single character can carry an entire fight on their own and occasionally they will get put with people who make it difficult to perform to their regular standards.

Invariably, people will blame the lord for not carrying the game if they lose, or they just don't perform well due to the circumstances. People are human, they make mistakes and have off days. A pretty icon in the video game doesn't magically make that stop happening. So chill.

To get Lord, you need to play the character a lot. Henceforth, you have lots of experience. Ergo, you are anticipated to preform well. Use the default icon if you still aren’t good at the game and don’t want hate.

Just as a heads up, some people farming lord icons in doom matches. Lords are not always mean better players

If the character you are as Lord is not working, change it and stop trying to be the good one.

Lord is useful because it indicates that the character is probably someone's main (or at least one of their mains). It still doesn't really tell you if they're any good, but at least you know it's probably one of their best characters.

Of course, as the game ages you'll see people who have lord on a ton of characters and thus it will no longer be super useful.
