"PLEASE LET ME HAVE THE AMPLIFIER" is gonna be heard all over.
Both pro teams used him with buckey....... so this can't be true... if hes that bad they wouldnt play him.
If pros are doing it, why are normal players complaining. Sounds like a skill issue where the players dont dodge damage.
If it works at the pro level, it clearly should work at any other level. Yeah sure, but they are playing for money.... so you wouldn't just use a bad character for no reason. This aint street fighter 6 where someone is a zangief main trying to win capcom cup (obviously this ain't happening).
His healing might be high in numbers, but is low in effectiveness because it does a steady amount of low healing for a long time. Meaning he is the worst at burst healing, which means he can rarely assist or defend a real push. Lastly, you are meant to BOUNCE his orbs in order to get more healing. Shooting them out parallel to the ground does LESS healing. You should shoot them at people's feet so it bounces at least once, or try to bounce them off of several walls as fast as possible. You are getting hate because you arent healing CORRECTLY. You also need the right team comp, and you need to make sure the enemy isnt countering you or your allies. Doing all that while sitting in silver is, to me, unlikely.
Alot of what your saying could be applied to anyone who just doesn't know how to play and don't act like grandmasters are something, because everyone complains about them being bad. I'm personally in diamond and i have been told countless times to switch to another healer and it didn't make a difference with me having the most healing + respectable dps with respect to the other supports in game.
The same could also be said about DPS characters who play these niche characters who clearly are not strong enough for professional play which DOES infer that the character is either overall weaker or does not provide any team value. Am i going to blame my dps because they chose lets say black panther? iron fist? scarlet witch? No because those characters could win. The only characters i have seen on my team personally that have skill issues are wolverine, spiderman and black widow and they are usually bad to the point no healing will help them.
People really undervalue alot about rocket which is crazy....
1) He has good survivability - climbs walls, has a jet pack, 2x dashes to get away from meele dps.
2) He legit supports the team with 40% damage increase
3) He has easy healing to where you can still heal with mistakes in your aim.
4) You do not always need someone to protect you as other healers have 1 way of escaping instead of 3 ways to escape.
5) He revives a teammate for free which can normalize the the loss immediately without having to channel an ability
6) you dont have to rely on your teammates to actually sit in your healing abilities. (CD bubble, lining up for the window heal / running into cloaks ult. Alot of players simply think the bubble is bad/the ult wont heal them.
Make it make sense......... the pros are certainly capable of choosing rocket with money on the line which is much higher stakes than our random comp matches. So if they basically right click heal..... why are people gm and below not allowed to do this either? Heck even flats had a video where the top rocket player in season 0 didn't even left click once and got to the top ranks....... yall don't make sense.
TLDR: your not losing games because you have rocket on your team, your losing games because you or someone else on your team did something stupid.
