Play with people in my own rank?
As the title says, is there a way to play with ONLY people in my rank?
I keep getting matched up with bronze players who just throw the game while the enemy bronzes are all insane at the game, it only balances out when I play with other people in my rank, but it favours rank mixing since there's nobody here.

No. The game uses EOMM instead of SBMM.

It mixes ranks in quick play because it uses hidden MMR. If a bronze is doing good it will out them with and against silvers till they start losing again. I have seen bronze have to play with plat cause they are so good. If you want a matchmaking that is more in tune to your rank you need to play ranked.

I’m in ranked, Silver III I believe.
The problem is that bronze players have a tendency to sit in spawn while their tank does all the work and then complain when they lose. The game only started putting me in these low rank servers after I hit 75 pts from a large winning streak.
I just want to play with people who have functioning brains and keyboards.
The game sees that you were playing good then gives you worse teammates to test how good you really are and if you can carry. This way if you still carry it knows you are smurfing and can give you extra points to rank you up quickly. You get different point amounts based on performance.

I guess that explains why silver has such a consistent skill level, the problem is that even with minimal point loss a losing streak can quickly eat away at your rank.

This isn't true, if you're getting bronze players in Silver it's because they're in a group with Silver players.

The game will average out their skill, so if you're in a lobby of Silver 2 players, you might see a Silver 1 grouped with a Bronze 1 for example.

The point about gaining more points if you perform well is true though.

In Silver, I've seen Bronze and Gold players. It's due to grouping with others I think.

OK I'm willing to believe you. do you have any proof to back up your claim? because my proof is games have been working like that for literally years. so unless they changed it for this game specifically for some reason I doubt it's different.

I'm ranked this is true. in qp it is not. qp allows wider skill ranges to join the same match.
