That Cart is his shield. on domination he don't have that.
Just keep playing as is OP. If you're solo tank then its their fault because they dont want to accompany you.
And as someone else said, use your cart for protection and the slight healing you get from it and you should generally be fine if you do what i described above as well.
Not saying this is a guarantee, a lot of it is going to be down to your team mates as well.
From the competitive standpoint it's obviously suboptimal, because he is an off-tank, and it it can be less enjoyable, because struggling and losing isn't fun. Solo Groot or Magneto are much more comfortable to play.
Hard agree on all of this. If they are flaming you for solo tanking that's too bad on them if no one else is willing to flex.
Yeah, I've been playing more safe solo now.
I main Magneto, just tired of playing the same character over and over again.
I would argue with that tbh. Cap is more independent tank - he can rush and pick all the medkits on the map. The Thing is more teammates dependant - you need someone to "pick you up" - be close to get out of the fray with your E.
Just an addition to Cap, he is less about being a meat shield or a backline harasser and works better as a moving distraction, he is probably the best cart staller in the game currently to where you can jump in and out and delay as much as possible and still survive for long stretches.
I have had plenty of matches as a solo tank on cap doing this where we won simply because i stalled long enough to where my team would respawn and keep them at their checkpoint.
This is also a fairly regularly used tactic by very high level players, especially in the case of "bronze to gm" runs on cap where team mates are questionable at best. :P
