Always work with someone when you go for kills. You are VERY close-range and can die easily if your positioning and timing are bad. Even with an effective health pool of 600 with his E and 900 with his passive. You basically need your tanks to take some of the frontline heat so you don't just melt immediately. You're an opportunist brawl character.
Focus the tankier targets first before anyone else. You deal % damage so going for tanks first is always preferable. Only go after squishies if you have your ult or the tanks are already in disarray. Or just let your other dps take care of the squishies. You are a tank buster first.
Your ult can KO every squishy very easily. It's perfectly fine to use his ult to take a single support out. I know it's nice to catch 4 people in his ult and get a 4k, but sometimes, you just gotta take one person out to win the fight.
And finally, your passive's cooldown goes down for every kill you've participated in. So if you want to be a force to be reckoned with, be present in every kill you can. I'm not saying to throw your body in the enemy team so you can hit them once just to remove 10 seconds off your passive, but just be around to smack the focus target. As wolverine, you should have the highest Kill count in the entire game, even if your Final Hits don't match.
Keep an eye out for anything you could potentially drag someone into/onto (Penni Mines/Nest, Namors summons line of fire, Torches Pillars, a hole etc.).
Coordination either in voice chat or duo+ when/if you play with your team as pulling an enemy into you team for a coordinated focus can delete them taking out valuable team mates like healers or tanks or costing the enemy precious resources to save said person or pull themselves out of position for your team to capitalise.
as someone has mentioned as Logan you're an opportunist brawler who plays pretty tightly to his teams front line, utilise natural cover when possible and your tank when its not and flanking will always be a matter of your own confidence.
