With all due respect, you seem like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No one is sitting there thinking "man, this guy is awesome for telling it how it is", you just seem like a jerk. I support Netease' decision to mute you. Plenty of times I have typed things into chat and it prevented the message from being broadcast, ultimately, I realise in those moments that my point probably isn't worth making and move on, or finding a better way of putting things.
An example, calling someone a loser for playing X or Y character. Either find people to play with that are willing to avoid upsetting your fragile sensibilities about hero choices, or don't say anything at all. Guy is going 0 - 10? Instead of saying "you're trash", why not say "this isn't working, maybe you should try a different character, now, Black Widow."
All this to say, you can convey roughly the same things, but in a less toxic way. Your life will be better for not choosing rudeness in every interaction you have with strangers. it's liberating to be in control of your emotions. You might even make the kind of friends you'd play Marvel Rivals with. The sort of people you enjoy playing with, even if they're having an off night or not playing to your narrow definition of viable characters, or "loser" picks.
People in this game have typed far worse than me, and in other games. The block button exists for a reason, and it was their policy it seemed going into S0 and S1 because they didn't really do anything to anyone unless they were bypassing the chat filter or typing much worse things than me.
It's pretty crazy we've gone into an age where hurting someone's feelings is now grounds for punishment in online gaming. It's fine, I don't need to type anything to these people. But having the game suddenly whiplash in another direction is pretty stupid.
So you got muted for abusive chat, just be nice and you won't be muted
Yeah, calling people trash/losers, is not inappropriate or bad.
And saying you got perma-banned from Overwatch for toxicity is not the norm. Blizzard's policies for toxicity for Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm are absolutely insane and should not be taken as the normal in the industry. They are extremely extra.
Hell, I remember digging through some Heroes of the Storm posts of people complaining they got silenced and what they were silenced for. In one case, someone got silenced because (From their email) they typed "???" after someone died in their match. Another person got silenced for typing "Genji?" after their Genji died.
You can ask anyone who plays online multiplayer games and they'll tell you that Blizzard is the most carebear "anti-toxicity" online platforms. I don't think even in League of Legends you'd get silenced/muted for calling someone a loser/trash, but I don't even play LoL.
EDIT: Actually I take that back. FFXIV is another extremely carebear "anti-toxicity" video game. I never got silenced/suspended in that game, barely ever spoke to people because I knew how insane their policies are. Just to give you an idea:
FFXIV suspends people for jumping, yes jumping, on someone's corpse in PvP. No, not sitting (teabagging). Just straight up jumping.
Oh, also they disabled typing in their PvP mode. You can only use their pre-determined chat lines. And using "Nice job!" when someone messed up was grounds for a suspension. Typing "Good game!" before a game ends was grounds for a suspension.
Crazy stuff.
Like I said, the game literally warns you of possible actions if you act like a jerk in chat. Yet you decided to ignore that and got punished. I do not need to see the excuses like "they do not even review things", while you mentioned yourself how they do not allow you to call people names and such.
Sometimes it's better to stay silent, if nothing good can be said, you know.
No dude, you're just trash at the game and raging at someone else isn't going to make you play better. Go touch some grass or something geez.
