Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals

View Stats:
280 000 online and 512 ppl in group chat steam
512 real ppl, and other bots :steamfacepalm:

I'll add:
Many popular projects have been released on Steam, we've all watched them one way or another. I hope no one will deny that in popular projects at the start of the game in the first year, participants in the group chat are about 30-35% (as in the case of the game the finals, paladins, etc.), after a while it becomes closer to 10%. I don't know what guides users who join these group chats. But these are statistics that you can confirm yourself by checking other popular games. If the game has just started, then it's closer to 30%, if the game has been around for a long time, then it's about 10%.

Here we see a huge failure of the studio, because they forgot to tell the bots to join the Steam chat. The Marvel Rivals game has been around for a significant period of time, during which it would definitely have gained more than 500 people in the group chat, with a real online of 450,000 (to be honest, I don’t know the peak online of the game, but I don’t need to, since it’s fake).

Yes, this is not the best argument, as some will say, but in the realities of 2025, this is the only place where we can catch them, these are minor errors like this.

A little logic:
If other projects have 30-35% online in group chats, opening the calculator we have such numbers.
This is either 1660 people, or 5000 people.
Perhaps, if we take into account the falling popularity and readability of group chats, the game can pull up to 10,000 online, but no more. And if we take into account that we meet bots in ranked games, then the figure of 1660 or 5000 is more realistic.

No matter how you try to justify it, it's a failure, it's impossible for a game with 450,000 peak online to have only 500 participants in a group chat. Whatever they do now, it will be a second failure. If they start adding their bots to the Steam chat en masse now, I'll just record it because I have all the screenshots, and later they'll find themselves in TikTok. If they leave it as is, then this discussion will be an eyesore to them and show players who are already doubting something that they are right to doubt it.

The only right thing they'll probably do is just bury this discussion in the depths of Steam discussions. But I don't think I'm the only one who's had enough of this in games, and many people won't let that happen.

People don't understand Steam groups because they were never marketed or explained well.

I'm not in the group chat and I'm a real person. You assuming only the people in the group chat are real players is just plain silly; many people don't even know what a Steam Group is and/or don't use the Group Chats.

You can pick any game at all on Steam and you will see WAY more players playing it than are in the group chat.

This thread is just plain nonsense to the point that it feels like bait.

Edit:
Perfect example: Hogwarts Legacy. Right now there is 7,396 people playing the game. There is only 1,481 in the Group chat.
What benefit does that game have for having almost 6,000 bots when it's a single player game and hasn't been in the top 100 most played for years?

You see how your claim makes no sense?

Lol, it's a good topic to discuss, but not when the difference is 585 times.

Lol I just replied to a bot that is defending the game, just look at that character on the profile lol No one even tries to hide the bots... ahahaha

By the way, speaking about Discord, I will be right if I say that in the Marvel Rivals Discord channel, in the main chat they discuss memes and cats or something like that, but nothing about the problems of the game? Asian garbage dumps like to make fake activity there, and then when you understand that I was right, they will tell you that the game's activity in the CHN region, in the EU the game was not rated.

I have been using Steam for roughly nine years now, in plenty of different online games. Not one single time have I met a person who uses Steam Group Chats to talk.
Not. Once.

I get that you try and argue about fake players, but... Find a different argument. Steam Group Chats isn't it.

???
Are you calling me a bot?
My UID in game is Roland Hazoto.
I'm posting from an alternate account because my main account is sitting out a community ban for a few more days for telling idiots what I really think about them, and Steam has no rules against alternate accounts.
Just because someone hasn't customized their profile doesn't mean they are a bot.
You should stop jumping to conclusions and making assumptions lest you continue to embarrass yourself.
And no I won't give you clown awards.

Also you have to spend at least $5 on Steam to post on forums or join Groups or even add friends. It would not make any economic sense for someone to make a bunch of bots on Steam just to fluff numbers. You're showing that you don't even know how Steam works at this point.

I don't like discord communities homie, but I do play. I don't really want to socialize with people in this community. I was just coming into discussions to ask if anyone has had some lag issues recently.

Paraphrasing what Tommy Lee Jones said in MIB. People are dumb, stupid panicky animals, but a person is smart. Rather not wade into a sea of neck beards and sweats.
Do you always enter the chat?
bots can't say racist beep. everytime one of the teams losing someone gotta last second type out some wild stuff.
...theres a steam group chat? Like you mean on discord? Either way most (as in an overwhelming majority of) people dont care enough to check those, even when they're well advertised. I'm among them. Not exactly gonna be running to the group chat after I'm done putzing about in the forum lol

wake me up when MR has a good pc port i wouldn't be surprised if these numbers were inflated :mikuDIVA::mikuDIVA::mikuDIVA:
It's easiest to understand when you compare with other projects. C.S. GO, C.S 2, DOTA, PUBG, Apex or the finals. All of them after many years of culling have +- 10% of online in the group chat. However, at the start of the game, the first half a year or even a year, they had about 30-35% of people in the group chat.
But it is very important to understand that in the same Dota there are also bots, you could see it clearly when they gave the arcana for free. In the same The Finals there are bots, that is, the indicators would be higher if there were no bots in the games mentioned. And what about Marvel Rivals, he have a long time for them to have a big group chat ... just 512 people hahahaha, they just forgot to tell the bots to join it. This is a legendary failure, which I will not let disappear without a trace. Just believe me that people who publish games for profit (not to be confused with the developer), will do anything not to lose their investments. And Marvel Rivals is a legendary failure in general, a game without dynamics, without meaning, without action. All they have done is just a slow copy of other projects.

For a year now, when I see a suspicious team, I write a provocative question in the chat, the player in the overwhelming majority answers. But those I have suspicions about, always kept quiet lol. In Marvel Rivals, I did the same thing in ranked games, half the games everyone was silent, I tried voice chat, also silent. I was lucky to play a couple of games with real people, so this is a completely different experience of the game. That's why I deleted Marvel Rivals today, since the real online players are so low that it can hardly even be in the TOP 100:steamsad:
