Why no cross play in competitive matches at all?
One of the only things that really bugs me in this game is that there is no cross play in comp matches. I understand the reasoning the it is more fair for controller players as typically a PC player would find it easier to improve in aim and consistency, however, I don't think that sound main there should be no cross play at all in comp. I play with a group of anywhere between 2-4 other friends, but half of us are on PC while the others are on console. We all enjoy playing the game together and are fairly consistent. This consistency make us think we'd be a good group in ranked and we wish we could all play it together but we can't. If I remember correctly there have been games in the past that have made cross play possible, but not mandatory. If you were on console and didn't want to play against PC players you could disable cross play matches to just play with people also on console. This would appease both groups, the ones who don't want to struggle against people on PC, and the ones who like me have a hybrid group of PC/console players. I am sure there are plenty of other groups like mine with this mix of players and I am sure many of them have at least thought of something like this. I would like to know if this is something the larger player base as a whole can get behind so maybe in the future something like this could be added.

Nah. IMHO it just sounds like a waste of Dev time, and the Risk of everything breaking is there. Destiny 2 went this route and Trials has been broken...still, and its mandatory last i cheked.

It's already broken, in fact it was broken even before it existed.. so who cares..

I mean its super easy to maniuplate the matchmaking system in a way that basically allows you to cheat the ladder..

Developers do a pretty mediocre job covering it up, but fortionately for them most gamers are pretty stupid so they are able to get away with it..
No bc that would completely mess up the rank system. You can easily play the matchmaking by haveing 5 PC players and 1 console on one team and queue against other teams that might have more console players, which objectively gives you a massive advantage, don't even try to argue that. Eternity and One Above all would mean nothing immediately

To solve that would require creating an entire separate ladder, with possibly an entire new matchmaking algo, etc., almost no other games do this for a reason, and the fact that you yourself can't even remember which ones did it just shows how unsuccessful crossplay rank is.

Whole lot of effort for little to gains. Just play QP

Ranked system has zero credibility to begin with so your point is correct but doesn't really matter

Lol @ Using EOMM with a competitive ladder
