It's already broken, in fact it was broken even before it existed.. so who cares..
I mean its super easy to maniuplate the matchmaking system in a way that basically allows you to cheat the ladder..
Developers do a pretty mediocre job covering it up, but fortionately for them most gamers are pretty stupid so they are able to get away with it..
To solve that would require creating an entire separate ladder, with possibly an entire new matchmaking algo, etc., almost no other games do this for a reason, and the fact that you yourself can't even remember which ones did it just shows how unsuccessful crossplay rank is.
Whole lot of effort for little to gains. Just play QP
Ranked system has zero credibility to begin with so your point is correct but doesn't really matter
