Storm is fine as she is, Hela still deals way more damage since Storm can't deal headshots.
Squirrel Girls projectile speed on her root is fast enough if you charge it. Don't ever use it uncharged. And her ult probably just needs more HP again, the dmg is fine especially in narrow areas, it can easily wipe an entire team.
And don't touch Jeffs ult. It will stay useless in high rank and will be unbearable in low rank. Tweak the rest of his kit but don't make the ult charge faster, the frustration in lower ranks will drive people out of the game. It is already pretty fast if you are decend with him.
1. Magik needs some kind of a nerf. She's statistically the 2nd best character with a pretty decent pick rate and she feels very strong playing both with and against. I agree with the idea of more hp if the teleport nerf hurts her too much. It feels like she gets twenty kiriko suzus in every team fight and it feels bad. I feel like that's the problem. Lack of a window for counterplay.
2. I don't feel the nerfs to Storm were quite enough, but maybe the win rates will adjust. She still seems super strong in all my games where she does not get banned. People are prolly still banning her for a reason.
3. Squirrel Girl ultimate is trash in the bag. I barely see anyone get a kill with it. I play in diamond 2 I've never seen a team wipe with a Squirrel Girl ult in my 600 hours playing the game. Most of the time even after buffs it does nothing. On Strange I usually barely side step and it goes past me. Very slow and telegraphed and even when it directly hits me on Strange deals lol dmg. Only when I was trapped in a room with it bouncing around or it richochet off random debris or I got trapped on top of it has it ever killed me.
4. I don't see how Jeff ult is different than a Psylocke smurf wiping them with Mighty Kitey Kite or Strange ult or Iron Man ult or any other crazy AF aoe thing. Unless they add a team up for him I don't see what you do to Jeff to make him good that would make sense. But hey, if they keep him and a couple other characters like Black Widow trash I wouldn't care much either. Maybe Jeff and a couple characters like Scarlett need to be bad.
If at least the range for TP (which doesn't make much sense as she don't really have TP abilities) could be reduced (maybe have her jump in the sky like Hela, then from here select a point where she could dive and start her tornado, instead of having her hide away and appear out of nowhere), she would be less anoying imo.
A slight nerf to her ult in order to make facing her less frustrating would be enough to balance the character imo.
Storm: Rework her ult. Give the character a completely different ult that requires positioning it herself and requires some level of risk.
Wolverine: Revert the HP buff. Bug fix ult to land more consistently, but also make fall speed reactable.
Hel: Bug fix her current fall off.
Bruce Banner: Flat 50hp nerf. Add 3rd hit to melee combo that jails.
Moon Knight: Bug Fix ult. Make voice line always play regardless of if Moon Knight is dead.
Iron Fist: Revert HP and Shield buffs. Remove infinite dashes and flying on left click. Give 2 charges of kick. Cap new shield health at 400hp during ult. No degrading shield. Put bunny hopping back in.
Luna: Make ult 8 seconds; down from 12.
Sue: Make ult 6 seconds; down from 12. (More in line with Mantis, providing utility with slow/invis)
Rocket Raccoon: Bug fix wall climb on transition from wall to pillars as to not disrupt direction held in both control schemes. Add amp outline effect on teammates screen to be a golden border around their screen with a buff box in the top right showing "+40%".
Mantis: Add golden border effect for damage boost w/"+12%" in top right.
Namor: Add ability: "Call of Cthulu". Namor may assign a turret focus target manually by pressing Z. 6 second cool down. Namor will point and say "By the power of Squid Magic". The player in question will be marked with black ink for both teams to see.
Spiderman: Stun on ult occurs marginally faster; .1 seconds. Uppercut hit box is reduced by 30%. Web shooters no longer regen. You have 6 of them and a short reload. This is overall much faster than the current system, but requires you to time reloads.
Jeff: Complete rework into a self sustain dps. Lean more into his back line play style with Luna. Reduce ult charge cost. Keep bubbles and shark fin. Change primary fire into a water jet that displaces and slows players. Make Jeff a CC bot menace. His nerf will be it's much easier to shoot him when he's in the ground. Luna alliance stays the same. Groot buff will be a faster firing speed, but no damage reduction.
I'm probably forgetting something else but it's a start.
The Magazine Buff was/is just Placebo (unnecessary).
The Game/Thing is fine as it is, it's just full of EOMM-Pro players, who are completely overwhelmed by Video games and are used to greedy Developers (without Honor) "adapting/balancing" the Game to their incompetence.
These changes are all mental.
Luna is 47 or 48 percent win rate. She'd get dumpstered and probably be below Jeff the Shark with that change so you might as well just say you don't like Luna and don't want her played. Same with Cloak.
Storm ult isn't all that. Strange shield blocks it. When my teammates are ever smart enough to come to me instead of running from me I just hold up my shield and block it and she is playing footsies with me trying to break LOS of my shield and usually can't. Some strategists like Rocket and Invis Woman can escape it. Any strategist ult counters it. It's like psy ult where usually it just forces out a strategist ult and that's it. If you want to dumpster Storm ult why not dumpster ever other dps ult in the game too? Most of them are powerful AOE's and some like Psylocke have less counterplay to them.
It was the recent dmg buffs that made her crazy where people started banning her every game. They recently toned some of that back and need to do just a bit more. Not dumpster the whole character like you want.
Wolverine yes, nerfing hp would be one way. Dude, he pulls tanks a mile and a half across the screen and then has them standing there stunned for 2 seconds unable to do anything. Then when Wolverine doesn't have that ability up he's barely playing the game. The hp wouldn't address the problem and just make playing the character more reliant on waiting to pull a tank making him more of a situational rock-paper-scissors counterpick against tanks.
Namor has a decent win rate that from my personal experience is only held back because he's picked a lot to try to glue together bad comps like x3 strategist with a low win rate that do not work. Changes like this just add a bunch of power creep to the game unnecessarily.
Spiderman has a 52% win rate currently. He got a change where he's got on demand invince last patch. Did you not even pay attention to that? This change would probably drive him to be the best character in the entire game and his ban rate would go through the roof.
The Jeff thing you are talking about I don't know if that's a great idea but it could work if implemented correctly. I don't want this game to end up like Overwatch where they sit there all the time reworking this character and reworking that character making the game a balancing nightmare. He already has team up with Luna that gives him the CC you are talking about. Maybe he just needs a buff there to be viable.
So your balance suggestions are irrelevant, you wouldn't know the first thing about balancing the game as a low rank player.
It is child's play to get diamond in this game because of how unbalanced it is in the first place and how you can exploit the trash matchmaking by playing in teams against solo players so what are you even talking about.
And that isn't the only way to exploit the matchmaking either so don't throw in "diamond" like you're good at the game and competent when countless diamond and even GM players play the same as silvers and golds or worse.
Additionally ranks are heavily inflated so you aren't even truly a diamond player and it's evident by this silver/gold logic of "this game is well balanced".
Some of the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ I've read on these forums in a while.
Think IW's ult is 8 seconds, def shorter than Luna
Ok. If that's the case then the developers every time they play streamers kick their butt left, right, and center and would do the same to you.
They would embarass you at this game so you wanna act like your are some gigachad pro remember that there's always somebody better than you.
The devs are better than you. I assure you of that. You'd get embarassed by them so you wanna take an authoritarian view of it the devs know more than you about balance and compared to them YOU are the silver who doesn't know what they are talking about.
And people work hard to get these ranks even if it's some gold player that managed to get to plat.
Quit being a douche belittling people who aren't one above all.
Currently one of the most urgent nerfs is WS who shouldn't be generating armor as he already has way too much in his kit.
Perhaps Wolverine and Storm need some tweaking as they are being banned a ton in ranked currently.
I personally would also like to see a nerf to high mobility characters or alternatively more anti dive heroes.
Other than that the game is pretty balanced yeh.
Where are you getting your characters’ pick/ban rate data from? I’ve been using the main forums, but they don’t have ban rates. I can’t find the last update’s character changes either! I feel like such an internet scrub!
Anyway, I don’t think win rates are very meaningful in a game with EOMM. When games are decided before characters are even selected, win rates around 50% are not surprising. The only time it’s meaningful is when there’s deviation, like when Peni and Rocket were in the ‘80s.
I think Jeff’s problem is his healing output. A lot of the healers have single-target heals and group ults. Rocket has no group ults, but he has aoe heals, range, and output. Jeff has neither range, nor aoe, nor output, and very limited utility. I would first buff his raw numbers, and see how that works out. If that isn’t enough, I’d turn his bubbles into a small, aoe healing field, just like C&D’s healing strips.
I don’t know how I feel about Wolverine. His strength against the oppressive shield tanks isn’t the worst thing, but it’s not healthy for him to be perma-banned. What I would do is take away the kidnap portion of his skill. It’s still plenty strong with the stun, I-frames, and the ability to go through shields. Logan is actually a really good 1v1 character, with his self-buff; he would just rely on Groot a little more to destroy tanks.
I’m starting to come around with Bucky— especially since I’ve seen a ton of him lately. He might need some tuning back. That being said, he’s REALLY predictable, and can be handled if the team is ready, so I need to see more.
I think the whole Vanguard class needs a rework. The pick rate on Mags and Strange is extremely out of proportion to the Vans— especially in Celestial and above. The shields are just that useful, and these two bans have 80-90% of the dps of the rest. The offensive Vans are just left out. Thor and Venom, in particular, bring very little to the team if the enemy spreads out and ignores them. I know some Vans should be easy to play, but still… stuff like Hulk’s bubble is the right idea. That could stand to be buffed. Defensive group utilities don’t have to be “as hard” to use as the shields, they just need to be part of all the Vans’ kits.
So, that’s my slightly biased, admittedly skewed opinion. Do you see this, devs? I don’t usually do this for free ;D
