I dunno, ask them nicely to play better or something. What can you do if they don't want to listen to you at all? You can't really force them now can you?

keep grinding in your rank until you rank up naturally, the longer you take, the more experience you gain.

skill issue, made an alt account to play with low rank friends and got plat in 30ish games

I have to agree. I struggled a bit in Bronze since I started late, but once I got out of Bronze, it was a smooth climb to Plat. But once I got in Plat.. I started coming across issues. Notably, nobody knows how to play tank or support. Everyone just goes DPS. This is just one thing among other things. I also got a 3-4 match loss streak for the first time since Bronze. But I endured and now I'm only a couple wins away from Diamond. I hope to God I get out of Plat.

Honestly, the thing that helped me get out of Gold was just playing DPS. If you believe you're good enough to get out of Gold, then carry yourself out of it. Tanking may help, depending on who you play. I went with Strange and Hulk. Strange is a great Solo tank, he just needs decent healers and Hulk is just OP as long as there's another tank.
