Doctor Strange portal FPS drop FIX
My FPS fall from 60 to around 15-25 while it opened. Is it suppose to be that way? Or it is bug? How to fix it? Very annoying coz this portals ruins my aim and overall controll.

Sorry, i dont understand what you want to say. ^^
Does the same here, and causes a sound bug quite often also. Terrible devs, can't handle performance optimizations necessary to implement portal efficiently, apparently.

Even my 4070 Ti drops from around 250fps to 100fps in certain areas when Strange uses his ult. This needs to be improved. Overall performance could be much better for what the game looks like.

Locking your framerate to 60 will solve a lot of performance issues on UE5.

My system can consistently deliver 200 FPS+ all the time, only Stranges Portal drops my FPS. I call the performance poor because upsampling is required to achieve high FPS with medium to high hardware. And it doesn't have to be, there are games that look much better and are less hardware hungry.

No one cares what your system can deliver overall. Do you want your problem with FPS solved or no?

We have to have people take IQ tests to be allowed to write in forums like this. Jesus Chist.

Nah, you're fine. Don't be so hard on yourself.

If you want to solve your issue, cap your framerate to 60. If you don't, don't. Anything else?

What is your problem? You seem to completely misunderstand the facts.
Maybe you shouldn't talk about things you have no idea about. And if you don't have a clue about anything frankly be quiet.

The problem is that UE5 still has severe performance issues when a game is pushed over 60 FPS on it. I have ZERO of the problems you mention.

If you want to take quality over performance that's your prerogative, but IDK if that's a good idea on a shooter.

What do YOU think the problem is? "Poor optimization" or something?

Bad optimization, exactly. As I wrote, my system consistently delivers well over 200 FPS, I really wonder what kind of nutcase you are to recommend capping the FPS to 60 in my case. Are you clowning for living?
Only Stranges portal causes my FPS to drop massively in some areas (so that doesn't always happen either) to around 100, so ofc that needs to be fixed, no question about it.
I think it's fixed. A month ago I lagged like all hell when it was down, now I don't even notice a big decrease

Okay, then why isn't it happening to me? Or anyone else with locked 60 FPS?
Why would anyone cap fps at 60?

I play at a stable 165 easily.
