Can't buy lattice

I wanted the battlepass but I can't purchase lattice. I can get to the purchase options screen but when I click, for example, 1000 lattice button, the screen dims, the rivals logo repeats over and over, but nothing ever happens. eventually it kind of times out, and a escape/back button appears and lets me move back to menu.
Otherwise, it just "loads" forever.

Did not work. I added funds to steam wallet for good measure I rebooted steam, then the game. Still same thing. Infinite Rivals animated logo when I click to buy 1000 lattice.

Maybe their purchase system is based on banking hours, and being Jan 1st banks are closed. Could this be it?

Do you have steam overlay enabled for ingame? On steam go to settings, click the ingame tab then make sure the enable the steam overlay while in-game is checked blue.

This was the issue. Though make note to anyone with the issue, once you enable ingame steam overlay, you have to restart steam and the game and it will work.

Step 1 was) add funds to wallet
Step 2 was) activate steam ingame overlay
step 3) restart steam and game
