Quickplay is a joke
My last few games has teammates all being dps and still getting taken out. Mind you I'm playing Wolverine and got enemy tanks running from me when taking too much damages. Healers wasting they ults to survive 1v1, but my team telling me to switch off.

I like to keep cross play on because some of my friends are on console while I play on PC. There's nothing wrong with having more platforms to play against imo.

That's fair, but you could give it a try while on solo matches, there's still hundreds of thousand of people on PC alone so finding a match shouldn't take long

The problem isnt quickplay or ranked or any mode, its people that think they need to be hawkeye(or whatever character) 24/7, while being ♥♥♥♥ at it.

Its cool, you want to play hawkeye, go do it in a bot lobby and learn how to play, so you dont bother people actually wanting to enjoy the game.

That will never change, people are way to narcisistic to adapt

Oh yeah of course. I already told my friends that I'm fully switching to PC at the end of this console gen.

Thank you my guy.
So problem is ranked players view quickplay as a joke, a way to test different heroes, achievement farm, practice getting good at a DPS they're not good at yet. It's a practice mode against players essentially.

Problem is not every player is going in with that mindset, some want to actually win the game, even people testing out heroes, you're not going to be testing them out in a correct environment when you have no tank to defend you lol.

Best solution would be an optional role queue for non-ranked matches, for players that actually want a team that's normal and not lacking in heals/tanks.

I wouldn't mind role queue, but there's the issue if players are intentionally throwing games or leaving matches because they couldn't get the role they wanted. As for trying out heroes, there's practice mode fora reason, but I hear you.

Well role queue would be you queuing up for the role you want to play. Obviously queuing for DPS would mean longer queue times as most people would be queuing for that.

Though honestly I think the roles in the game weren't well designed. There's a 4th role that exists in the meta basically. As some Vanguards aren't great at being the only Vanguard/tanky hero on the team. I call them Brawlers (Thor, Captain America, Venom, Hulk, Magick, Black Panther, Iron Fist, Wolverine) They're not good at being the only Tanky hero, but can dive backlines at correct timing and be fine and help split the damage between the main Vanguard and the tanky hero. So a good role queue would be 1 Vanguard, 1 Brawlers, 2 Duelists, 2 Strategists.

That doesn't fix players not healing as Strategist and not tanking correctly as Vanguard, but it's better than people just throwing with only 1 healer or no Tanky heroes at all.
youre in quick play. people will play the way they want with what they want. dont like it, then make your own team. threads like this pop up everyday and its the same song and dance when the answer is always the same, make your own team if you want a specific play style.

I don't have a problem with them playing as who they wanted. The problem I had is that they were getting bodied and wanted me to switch off even though I was pulling my weight and theirs.

then take it with a grain of rice, say no and move on with life.

Take heal or tank, what is the problem? Help your team.

Yeah, people don't get that their individual kill ratio means nothing.
You can have 30:0 and still lose a map and get ranked score down since "you're doing your thing", and not helping team at all.

this is bs

First: It doesn't take that long to find a match in competitive
Second: mindset like that is why trash players refuse to switch when their not helping the team at all.
